Am I Fixed? Was I Broken?

Hi All!

Today it was 70 out! I can't believe it! Most of my walks lately have been chilly, and mamma had to wear these silly hats to walk me, and I loved it! I could run and run and not get hot. Today, though, after a short walk I was too hot.

So after my walk by the river (I wanted to jump in, btw, but mamma wouldn't let me) we went to the pet store to get food for the kitties. This one lady came up to me right away and pet me, and asked if I was a boy or girl. Mamma told her, and then she said I was beautiful, and she asked if I was fixed. I didn't know I was ever broke, but mamma said yes I was. She told mamma she was looking for a boyfriend for her doggy, and that annoyed mamma, but she didn't feel like giving a lecture, so she just let it go. The husband saw me then, and started asking about me, and the lady said "he's fixed, I asked already." But then the lady was lamenting me being fixed because I was so pretty, and being a Shih Tzu am nice and solid, blah blah. Mamma started ignoring them and took me away as soon as they seemed distracted enough without saying "have a good day" like she usually would.

Silly people wanting me to be their doggy's boyfriend. Hmph.

On another note, is I have been having fun meeting doggy friends on my walks, and have been playing with the dogs I meet, it's been so much fun!!!

Also, the senior dog trainer at the place I took my puppy classes heard my sad story about my puppy class (plus she witnessed my drooly melt down when a shih tzy puppy tried to greet me... that ONLY happens at pet stores because of my puppy class, I think all dogs there are mean and scarey) and she invited me to retake my class (for free of course). I'm in a class with some nice puppies. One is a little nuts, but the trainer "invited" them to take a different class, so hopefully it'll just be us nice doggies in the class tomorrow night. By the end of my first class I was starting to make some friends, and wasn't so drooly. Plus, I'm the only boy. All the girls for Bingley! BOL!

Anyway, I guess that's all for today.

Hi!

Hi all!

Mamma said that I had to come and post an update.
It's fall, so it's getting cold out. It makes me enjoy my walks a lot more. I just want to keep going and going!

I went to get my rabies shot on Thursday. I got weighed, and I weigh 15.5 lbs. The vet said I was good and healthy, and was happy to hear that my homecooked food is working for me with my allergies.

Mamma had him double check my knees, because she sees me skip sometimes, and once when I was playing I yelped and limped for a second. So he checked, and said the rear right one moves, but doesn't come out, and the rear left (the one that I yelped about) comes all the way out, but goes right back.

But other than that i'm doing good!

It's COLD!

What happened to summer? It's cold! Mamma has a shirt on me to help keep me warm, but I'm still cuddling as close to her as possible at night to keep warm. And tonight mamma said it's going to be in the low 30s !! Mamma ordered me a nice sweater with the gift card we won in the photo contest (and another cute shirt, and a collar), but it's not here yet. I do love cold weather, but this was too soon, and my little body wasn't ready for it!

But, next week mamma is on vacation from work, so we are going to go driving to see the fall leaves if they start changing more. Next year, now that mamma and her mommy don't have to take care of her grandma anymore (she had been sick with cancer and alzheimers, and hard to take care of, so neither have had a real vacation in about 3 years or so), they are taking a real vacation, with mamma's brother, wife and his in-laws. They are going to the Outer Banks. Only, mamma said the house they rented doesn't allow puppies :( That bummed out me and mamma, but my groomer said she'd watch me for the week she's gone. It's a whole year away, but me and mamma miss each other already. Mamma said she won't know what to do without me sleeping by her at night, and knows it will make it hard for her to sleep. Oh well. That's next year.

This year our vacation is cold and wet, lol.
