Mind you, the people don't even LIKE pets, so why get one when they don't like them? So, the kid beat her, threw eggs and rocks at her, and choked her. After a week of having her, the owners decided they were going to put her down. Mind you, she was JUST 8 weeks when they decided this.
So, the lady down the street works with the lady who got the dog, and found out. She told the lady that she would take her in, so a couple days later, she rescued Gizmo, who she was going to name Gigi...Anywho, when she got her, she was COVERED in fleas, so she gave her a bath, as I heard. So when driving to the store, we saw her out with the pup. We stopped, because my mom noticed she looked like a Doxie, and my mom used to have one many years ago who was put down from cancer.
So, we found out she was a DoziexChi mix. My mom called my dad about her, and he kept saying no. So, my mom asked to bring the pup up to show my dad, and when he held her, she fell asleep in his arms. FINALLY, he said yes. I was so glad, and so was the whole family. So, that's how we got Gizmo. And as for her name, my dad named her for her ears. XD Bio: Scratch the doxiexchi mix on the top. As she grew up, we decided for sure, she is Papillon, and -maybe- Chi or Doxie. With some head-scratching frustration, I finally decided that Gizmo IS probably full-blood Chihuahua. How is this dog full-blooded Chihuahua? Well, I figured out that she just has a mix of two different Chi types-Long-haired apple-doomed and deer type. It explains why she has a apple-doomed head, height, her muzzle is too long, she's got long, thin legs, her fur length, and even her fur color. Yes, I know, her ears aren't fully developed. Well, even though it doesn't happen often, I have seen Chis in photos, at older puppies stages then even Gizmo, whose ears haven't fully developed, either. So really, the ears have NOTHING whatsoever to do with it. After three frustrating months on trying to pin-point her breed, I honestly think I have it down. She is just too Chihuahua in personality and physical traits to say she is a mix breed. And it makes sense. So unless I did one of those bred tests that costs 100-200 dollars, and it says I am wrong, then she is a purebred Chihuahua-apple-doomed and deer-type Chis are the same breed, just a bit different. That doesn't make her at all a mix.
Yup, that's right! I am getting this "Sit" thing down fast! Not only does mommy do a really good job at teaching me, but I have my big sister to learn from as well. One day I will know all the tricks she knows by heart. Maybe one day I can do fun stuff like she does as well! I may be small on the outside, but I am just as tough as my big sister on the inside!
Well, lets hope that I will learn to behave like Spirit too! She is so patient and listens to what she is told. I can't understand yet what my owner is saying, but whatever it is, it makes her sit and wait until mommy says it's ok to go get the toy she threw. It's awesome! I can't wait to be just like her.
(All writings in this entry are mostly what I hope for her to be able to do, lol. I have no doubts, however. She seems to be showing she really is smart every day, haha. Well, with hard work and patience, she will be just as good as Spirit is. (: And she does know sit, however. lol, seriosuly. Hehe)
