Arrival Story:
Hi my name is Boyd and just two days ago my wife got me introduced me to Linus. I wasn't sure I was ready for another Basset Hound since I just lost my best firend and companion only 3 days prior. I had a beautiful basset hound named Dixie. She was my sunshine and she brightened up my day everyday. Dixie was a lemon and white basset hound and was only 3 years old. She died and the Vet does not know why. I miss you baby. Here is a picture of her on the left. Saturday my wife and I decided to go to the movies to help me keep my mind on something else. After the movie and Iasked my wife if she wanted to go inside a pet store that was just across the street from the movies. I wanted to look for something for my sons dog and I also wanted to see how I would react around other dogs. When we went inside the store I see a Basset Hound Puppy and I almost fell apart. A lady inside the store saw me looking at him and she brought him out. When she brought him out I thought she was getting him for a couple to look at standing next to us. Well she brought him straight to me. I almost started crying there on the spot and my wife took him to hold him inside this pet visiting area. I had to walk away for a minute to breath. I told myself I cannot be like this forever. So I walked back and sat down next to my wife. He took my heart away. He reminded me of Dixie in so many ways. He brought a smile to my face. My wife looked at me and asked the lady how much she wanted for him. I could not believe what I'm hearing. My wife then asked me if I wanted him. I thought to myself can I do this to Dixie? W0uld Dixie want me to have a new basset hound in my life? Knowing Dixie probably not. When she was with me I was her daddy and there was nothing else like me. But Dixie is in heaven now looking at me and wants me to be happy. I will see her again one day and right now I need a companion. My wife then said I think you need this to help you move on. She was right. I still kept thinking I'm letting Dixie down. But at the same time I believe in destiny. I looked at "Beau" and said I'll take him home. Linus welcome to our family and Dixie we miss you so much.

Linus Beauregard's Daily Doggie Life


Great Day

Well yesterday was a great day for me :)

I made my mommy and daddy soooooooooooo happy. Well as some of you may or may not know, we Hound dogs get a rough rap for being known to be hard potty trainers. Well yesterday I surprised mommy. She watched me all day and everytime I had to go to the bathroom and went to the back door and scratched it. I got the best head and tummy rub ever and a few treats to go along. I sure do like that kind of loving and I want more. So it looks like I have to keep on scratching the door. Mommy called daddy at work and I could here him in the background telling her he couldn't wait to come home and give me a great big hug :)

Well as soon as daddy came home he gave me lots of loving and treated me too.

 

My Weekend

Well I had a fantastic weekend. My Daddy gave me tons of treats because I'm getting better with my potty training. I had a couple of accidents and got into a little trouble. I'm almost 4 months old and I'm still trying to understand this outside stuff :) One thing is for sure. I have not had a number 2 mistake in the house. I would hate for my daddy and mommy to have to pick up my stink. Heck I don't want to smell my own stink :) But I don't understand whats wrong with the number 1? It will dry up right? LOL Nawwww I don't want that smell in my house either. Daddy was especially happy because Saturday night and Sunday night I didn't wet in my bed when he woke up. I got lots of treats after that.

Well I hope I get some comments hehehe :) Wait is there comments with these things?
