My mistress grew up with big retrievers, but now that she's out on her own, she wanted a smaller, low shedding, mellow dog that would get along with her 5 pet chickens. The Havanese sounded like a perfect match! She wasn't planning to get a puppy, but she found a local breeder with reasonable prices, and I seemed perfect! We're all very happy.
