I gotted tagged, by Mini! I get to write a bunch of cool stuff in my diary!! THANKS, Mini! You're the bestest!!! :))

1)-What color is your collar?
My collar is blue. All the time I was a teensy pup with my fur-mommy, I wore green-- I don't know what happened, 'cause when I gotted to my fureffur-home I gotted switched to blue! I kind of miss the green.

2)-What kind of food do you eat?
We live right on the water, so: sea food! ("I sea food, I eat it.") No, really, me and Charley eat Science Diet lamb & rice small-bites. I'd RATHER have sea food...

3)-What are your favorite treats?
Chewy bones!!!!!!! Pedigree Breath Busters!!!! PEANUT BUTTER-- I don't care if it's got nasty-tasting pills hidden inside it, I *still* love it!!!! :))

4)-Do you have a Valentine or significant other?
Kind of! Little Florida Sunny was my Valentine last month... I don't know if she still likes me or not, though?? I think Ellie Mae might like me a little bit! She's arful cute too.

5)-Do you get table scraps?
Ohhhh, how I wish!! We used to get them ALL the time from my daddy, but I guess he gotted a little carried away with how much he gived us, and we started throwing up (eeewwwwww!) all the time. Then Mommy putted her footsie down BAM!, so now no more table scraps fur us. (Since it was always Mommy who had to clean up our messes, I guess that's okay!)

6)-What is your favorite toy?
Charley. He'll do anything I tell him to do! I can push him around, make him lie down an' roll over, I can even make him squeak! (Hehehe.) I lo-ooooooove to play with Charley! We run-run, and race-race (I always win, of course), and dig-dig-dig. We even sleep next to each other! I hope I don't never wear him out.... he's the bestest toy I effur had.

7)-When is your birthday?
MARCH 8TH- MARCH 8TH- MARCH 8TH!!! It's almost heeeeere!!! I'll be six! Six! Six!! Oh-boy-oh-boy-oh-boy!!!!

8)-How many times a day do you get to eat?
I'm so lucky-lucky, I get to eat wheneffur I want! We have an automatic feeder in the kitchen. I do have a problem with that thing, though. A long time ago when we furst gotted it, I would just go and eat and not even think about it. Then one day, I ate the last piece of food in the little bowl, and ALL OF A SUDDEN, an ***arful*** HORRIBLE thing happened!!!!! There was a *********HU-UUUUUUGE********** rrrrumbling noise, and a hole bunch of new food fell down into the little bowl! It skeered me to pieces!!!! So now, once we've eaten enough to put a sizeable dent in the food in the bowl, I won't-won't-WON'T eat any more. I just stand there, and STAND there, and gggggrrrrrowllll, an' GGGGGGRRRRRROWWWWWWWL, until Mommy comes and kind of "pulls" the new food down with her hands, an' fills & smooths out the food in the bowl. I don't NEVER want to get skeered like that again!!!!!!!!

9)-Do you have a favorite color?
I'm not sure. I think it must be green (my puppy-color!). I wouldn't mind switching to a nice bright GREEN collar an' leash... hint-hint, Mom, my birthday is coming!!

10)-Do you hope all your pals put this in their diary?
Oh, YES! This was loads of fun, and I would love to read what all my furiends puts, so I can get to know them better!

I'm all confused an' confurbulated!

Boy, oh boy, oh boy. Some buddy sended me a beauuuuuuutiful shiny big diamond, an' I have NO idea who it is! They called themselves Anon Y. Mouse, which REALLY made me confused 'cause my sisfur Miss Sable-Kitty gets prezzies from Anon Y. Mouse too! Could there be more than one fur with such a strange name?

My diamond is so-ooooooo gawgeous! I just love to look at it... but it's driving me crazy! It came with a note that said, "you'll always be my diamond!"-- now, who, I mean, who on earth, could pawssibly want to send meeeee such a wondfurful giftie?

Whoever it is, I want you to know that you are Toe-tally Tubular! You are The Cat's Meow! You are A Fur After My Own Heart! Plus, whoever you are, I know I like you a LOT. Thank you, thank you, fur my pawsome diamond! Will you ever-ever let me know who you are, so I can give you a big-big HUG???

:))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) )))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Tag? Really, I LOVE tag!

**I HAVE BEEN TAGGED!**
Mimi did it. Sweet, adorable, cute little Mimi TAGGED me! Oooof. Okay, I'll show I'm not a Scrooge, I'll try to do this! I'm not sure if I'll do it right, though.

The rules are simple, just state 7 facts about yourself and then tag a few pals to continue the fun. Make sure you let them know they've been tagged and to come and read your Diary to copy the rules :)

----------------------
My facts:

1) My Aunt Joanie named me The Dog Wh0 Can Do No Wrong. This is true! (not...)

2) This is a seekret, so DON'T TELL!: I know how to spell. Yup! I know what O-U-T, and R-I-D-E, and T-R-E-A-T spell, even V-E-T and the double-dreaded B-A-T-H!

3) Squirrels, bunnies, mousies, lizards... I try and I try, but I have never caught a single thing-- not even a bug. Ooof. I can't even catch a B-A-L-L!

4) Yesterday I rode in our elefurator for the very first time! It's outside and noisy and scary and I could have fallen off, but I rode it like a pro! I do have a brave heart. (Now if I just had a thumb so I could push the button...)

5) I just LOOOOOOOVE other doggies. Meeting new friends in the fur is a highly emotional experience for me, and I'll do ANYthing to make it happen. I don't even stop to think-- I just race-race-race over to say hello! Once, I tried to jump out of a moving car in order to meet a doggy I saw. So that was the end of car windows being rolled all the way down. Bummer.

6) Sometimes at night when it's very-very dark, I DISAPPEAR when we go outside. No buddy knows this but you: what I'm doing is chasing bears! Since we live so close to the National Furrest, many bears (big black ones) come into our yard. I can smell 'em! I can hear 'em! So I just gotta go and see if I can CATCH 'em! I don't know why I'm not skeered... my mommy certainly wishes I was.

7) This last one is hard to say. Sighhhh. Sometimes, I really wish I gotted more attention from my mom and dad. I love and adore my little brofur Charley, but he's a big honkin' attention-thief! He jumps and cries when I'm on a lap! He insinuates himself into every game of grab-and-pull! He pushes his way into the middle whenever I'm getting petted! He sucks up all the love! My brofur Charley is a love-sucker. Sighhh.
--------------------------

So that's my seven things. I did it, Mimi, I did it!! I have beared-- I mean bared-- my S-O-U-L. I hope every buddy enjoyed it. I will now go and stick my head in a nice, deep, sandy hole. So long!

hiding things

Hahahahaha! I hid my little brofur Charley's favorite toy, his squeaky-duck, over a week ago. He's been going crazeee looking fur it! My mom even got down on the floor and crawled around, but: no squeaky-duck under my dad's easy-chair... no squeaky-duck under my mom's comfy-chair... no squeaky-duck under the couches... no squeaky-duck under the tables... no squeaky-duck under the hutch in the dining room! Should I finally tell them that I dropped it off the side of the deck, or would it be better to just relax and laugh myself silly watching them hunt? This is so-oooo enjoyable that I really hate to bring it to an end!

I like Fluff E!

Fluff E is so-ooooo cute! She's a milk an' honey California gurrrrl, with a gggrrreat smile, and she dresses so fine! I love all of her outfits. The one I like the bestest is her beauuuuutiful ballerina outfit with the pretty blue tiara: bow, WOW! Plus she can really-really dance, and on two- count 'em- TWO! leggies! Oooooh!

She's a gurrrrl after my own heart, too, because she loves to swim! I can tell she's Miss Independent (like me!), 'cause her mom makes her wear a swim-floatie-thingy just like my mom does me. I wonder if her mommy picks her up by the handle when she gets tired!

Fluff has a brofur (me, too!) who is named Zach. He's cute too, but I like Fluff E the bestest. I wonder if she would ever look at me. Well, a guy can dream, can't he???

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, I had a busy-busy Turkey Day here!, looking fur all the turkeys I expected would come to see us.

I spent a good portion of the day hanging out on the deck, enjoying the sunshine and scouring the underbrush with my eagle-eyes (--oops, no: change that! I really-really don't like those big mean eagles), looking fur any sign of turkeys there. Nope. So I looked all around the yard... nope. I looked in the trees... nope! I looked up in the sky... nope! I looked down by the beach... NOPE! I even looked in the water, but... nope. I wonder why they call it Turkey Day, then, since NO turkeys came to visit us at all, at all. Poo.

My mom was busy-busy in the kitchen fur a lot of the day, an' SOMEthing smelled really-really good in there! I wonder what she was cooking.

I can't wait fur next year, when Turkey Day will come around again! Between now and then I'm gonna paint a big 'WELCOME, YOU TURKEYS!' sign on our roof.

Squirrels

Well, I feel a BUNCH better-- my mom took that ggrrungy after-B-A-T-H photo of me out of here, and put one up of me taken after Charley & I went to the Beauty Parlor. MUCH better!

Sometimes it's hard to train our pawrents to do things the way they ought to. (But that's the ggrreat thing about Dogster-- I can get advice here from other furry guys who've had the same problems I have!) Anyway, this is a photo of me hiding Charley's favorite squeaky-toy from him (his squeaky-duck).

Sometimes I think Charley gets too-ooo much attention from our mom and dad! So every once in a while, I have to put him in his place. I sit on his toys, or even push them under the couch or the bed. He runs all over the place, hunting... and this can go on for days! It's loads of fun to watch him-- but it's actually even more fun to watch our mom crawl around on her hands & knees looking under everything for the toys! (talk about training...)

Today we got to sit out on the deck for hours-- I loved it! Being up this high is even better than sitting on the back of the couch... it seems like we're right in the trees with the SQUIRRELS and birds.

The SQUIRRELS are my very favorite! I have chased many-many-many squirrels in my day, let me tell you! There's something I really don't get about squirrels, though-- I mean, how do they just disappear like that?? I chase a squirrel across the lawn, and he run-run-runs up a tree. Then I wait at the bottom of the tree, sometimes for hours and HOURS... I never-never take my eyes off that tree!, and I ggrrowl and sometimes even try to climb the tree myself, and I'm so-oooo patient, but the squirrel is just ...gone. --!!!!-- Where the heck does he go? -and how does he DO that, anyway??

Sometimes I wish I could do that trick, too. When Charley chases me and I jump up on the come-poo-ter desk and he just sits on the floor and WAGS at me!, it would be so cool to --disappear! If I could just CATCH one of those pesky squirrels, I could ask him how he does this trick. Squirrels must be brilliant. Really!

I don't know why mom put up a new picture of me, taken after my bath this afternoon, waiting patiently to be properly dried & brushed & fluffed...?? I guess she must have thought it was cute...

Doggone Tired!

Bow, wow, did we run ourselves ragged this afternoon! I had to pawse halfway through to take a nap, I was that tired!

Charley was after me all morning long to play-play-play with him, so when we got to go out after lunch I chased him around the grass a whole bunch, and then let him chase me. (You'd think he'd get tired of it 'cause he never catches me, but he doesn't seem to notice.) Then when we had to go upstairs on the deck, I chased him around and around the deck forever. Whew! I sure was wishing I'd hear "sit! stay!" from my mom or dad, but they never said a word, darn it.

After my necessary nap, we drove in the pickup truck out to the beach on the island. That is a HANDSOME beach!, and we got to play on it for a lo-ooong time. One of my very favorite things to do at the beach (well, anywhere, really) is to dig-dig-dig a huge hole and then stick my head in it up to my shoulders. Suffice it to say, I did get the littlest bit sandy. When we got home I really thought my parents would just let me roll around on their bed to get the sand off, but-- no, we had to have that BATH thing. ICK!!

I'm always afraid to get water up my nose, even though that hasn't happened to me since I was about 4 months old. Anyway, we got all CLEAN, and then we raced all over the house until we got partly dry. (That's my favorite part of the bath experience.) Now we're about to get brushed & fluffed, which I complain a lot about but secretly I LOVE...

Then I guess it's got to be lights-out for me! More later...

Pawsitively Boring!

Too bad I have to start this brand-new diary with a Complaint, but that's the way it goes. Today I had to stay home ALL DAY with nobody but little brother Charley and Ms. Sable Kitty for company. My parents were gone ALL DAY-- they went to Tallahassee, the dog-mecca of the southeast, and didn't take us!!!! I know, I know, they SAID it was too hot-- but they could have wrapped us in ice compresses every time they had to leave us in the pick-up, couldn't they?

There was zilch to do here (except watch Ms. Kitty Sable hide around corners and then jump out & pounce on unsuspecting Charley-- you'd THINK he'd learn!-- every time he walked by), so I passed the time by sitting on the back of the living room couch & looking out the window, and barking every time a vehicle passed by on the road. There are quite a few vehicles that pass by!, probably because there is really just ONE road in our whole county, so I was kept quite busy-- but how boring can you get!

So I really wasn't too pleased with my parents, until they came back home this evening with my FAVORITE treats: Pedigree Breath Busters (what? so there's nothing wrong with my breath, so what!!). I guess I can forgive them for leaving us behind at home today, and I suppose I can cuddle with them tonight after all... --who's ready to rub my tummy? --Okay, gotta run!
