Likes:
loves be around the family

Pet-Peeves:
not very happy about the rain, hates to be confined ! Lately he has taken to barking at select people... if they don't have a dog with them he barks (what's his prob?)

Favorite Toy:
Hera's tail.. he loves to chew on it... and whatever Hera is playing with... if it's in her mouth Apollo wants it. He also enjoys shredding any paper, be it magazines, paper towel rolls, Kleenex.

Favorite Food:
Nutro Natural Choice & Hera's food.

Favorite Walk:
Loves to hang out in the shallow water at Spanish Banks. He gets excited when trekking through the North Shore woods and we frequent Ambelside Beach. He loves to be outside and run around off leash.

Best Tricks:
Apollo can sit (amazing) and he is learning to stand on his hind legs for food. Othewise - no patience for tricks.

Arrival Story:
We searched for a dog to adopt from the local shelter, unfortunately my son was bitten and was too scared to allow a dog in the house. So we decided to try a puppy. We found an add in the paper for puppies and we fell in love with him.

Bio:
Apollo is a red doberman. He is our very first expereince with his breed and we are hooked ! He is the sweetest pup. We love him dearly. He has adapted extrememly well to having a new great big dane sister (Hera) who came into the family only last week. Apollo is a little shy of new people so we try to get him out as often as we can. Our nine year old son loves to tear around the house with Apollo .. it is the cutest thing. Apollo is amazing with other dogs - BUT he is funny around peeople. We take him out DAILY and he still chases people barking at them. We are open to suggestions in curbing this terrible habit. We have tried muzzling, treats, yelling and "time-out"... what can we do? He even barks at kids and I can not accept it. It is not all the time, but it does happen unpredictably. Help!

Well, today was a big day. Mommy let me out of my room for most of the day. I went along for a car ride and I got to play and hang out with the family. There were new people in my house today. I was trying hard to hang out with the kids, but one of the boys was scared of me so I had to stay away. I dont get it.. who could be scared of me? What did I do?
Mommy took me to see a new doctor today. I was freaked when I got there because I remember the last doc who was so mean and he hurt me. I did not want to be there. I was so good as mommy held me while we were waiting. I was hoping that if I was so good maybe mommy would change her mind and take me home right away. But no !
The new doc came out to see me. She said I was so cute. YAY ! I liked her already. She put me on a huge scale. I am a big boy now. I am 10lbs.
My doc carried me into a room and put me on this COLD metal table. She talked to mommy about stuff and played with me at the same time. She was cool.
She even gave me treats. (Didn't notice the immunization injection). We hung out there for an hour while mommy and the doc talked all about ME. I tried to hang around mommy but the doc couldnt keep her hands off me - I cant blame her.
The doc told mommy that everything was good. Mommy had too many questions to ask. I think she worries too much. But I guess I am all better now an mommy was excited to hear that.
Doc said I am free to meet lots of new people but mommy needs to be careful with other dogs. I hope to meet some new friends. I want a play mate.
I was tired after the visit and we went home. I got to hang out all night with mommy and my boy. I had diner and then ran around the place while mommy and the boy did homework together. I was SO tired. I passed out at mommys feet... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
