I'm Back!

okay, so it has been a little while since I wrote in my journal...but I am back! What a year it has been so far! We went out to a friends house with Dad, way out in the country while mom was out of town. Let me tell you my friends, it was so much fun. We ran and we swam and we ran and we swam some more. I was exhausted by the end of the weekend...and the ticks were awful, mom and dad picked and prodded and prodded for hours on end until they were satisfied that we were clean. Thank goodness mom puts guard on us. We had dog day at our house this weekend, 4 of our other favorite dogs came over. 2 other labs and 2 goldens...we had a blast. We love when mom lets our friends come over and play. We actually had a sleep over with one of our freinds this weekend, that is alwasy fun too. Nothing much new to report...we got our nails cut a couple of weekends ago, I weight 92 lbs and my "little brother" weighs 117 - he is so tall. Everyone was just in awe over how cute we were - except mom who was handling us by herself...I think we were a bit too much for her! Hope everyone's summer is going good so far! We have a lot planned and coming up so it should be great!

wow, it has been almost a year!

wow, where do i start! i cannot believe it has been almost a year since i have written in my diary. so much has happened! i turned 3 this year, it was a great year. my mom and dad finally got married and we got to get family portraits with them. dad opened his own business after having a bit of bad luck with a tornado destroying his place of work. mom is still working her job and is doing side jobs to bring us home bones! let me explain us...as you can see by my page i have a little brother. his name is Ranger and over the past year he has grown - A LOT! mom says he has hound dog or great dane in him, although i know we are both registered. he is big and he is such a baby...his head is twice the size of mine and he is always shoving it in my way. i weigh 90 lbs, he weighs 120 lbs. - and I am the big brother!

we have gone camping and gotten to play with our other lab friends a lot this year. my aunt got married this year too, so we have a new uncle. he got rid of his cat child, so we didn't get any new cousins.

thanksgiving is coming up. mom and dad are going on a mini-honeymoon and our best friend bear and his dad are coming to stay with us. it will be fun but i will miss my mom. she gives me tons of cuddles all the time. then it will be christmas. we are not having a tree again this year, Ranger is too much of a terror right now, he gets into everything. so we are just going to have a little one to sit on the table and then next year we will finally get one again. brothers are pains!

2006 Can You Believe It?

2006, who can believe it? i cannot believe that i will be 3 years old this year! my younger brother will be 1, wow we are getting old! my resolutions for this year include: getting mom to take me for more walks, just her and i sometimes; playing nicer with my brother; getting more tummy rubs from my momma; eating lots of bones; and being good at my mom and dad's wedding. yep folks, thats right, my mom and dad are finally getting married. they are planning an outdoor wedding (although mom seems really nervous about the weather) and Ranger and I get to be part of it. we are so super excited. mom says we just have to promise to stay out of the pond (and it is one that we get to go play in) and promise not to get her dirty. wow, that is alot of promises, but we will sure try!

we had a great christmas. lots of toys, bones, yard toys...i got a chuck it and i love it! new years eve was great this year too, mom didn't feel well so both her and dad stayed home with us the entire night. the fireworks didn't even bother me! ranger went a little nuts, but for the most part, we layed around with the p's and watched movies it was great.

mom's nephews got paintball guns for xmas. they have come over to play with dad twice out in the woods. they bring our fur cousin Sophie out with them, and the three of us dogs get to run the woods for hours. we love it! we were so gross and dirty after being in the mud, creek and woods that we all got baths, but man it was worth it. i found my way through an old barbwired fence through a hole and then all the sudden i couldn't get back. it got quiet in the woods then i heard my mom yelling for me, but i couldn't get back to her. dad finally showed up and had to lift me over, when mom saw me she was so happy. think she thought i was hurt. i got lots of extra love and kisses that night. can't wait for them to play again, i will remember not to go through that hole.
