Our Miguel was lonely and needed a playmate so we started searching papillon rescue sites for dogs here in Georgia that we thought he would get along with(He does NOT like puppies.)We happened to see Tara listed as "new "on the Papillon Club Rescue site and applied. She came over to visit as her foster mom lived only a few miles away. Miguel liked her right away.(Our cats didn't, but they aren't fond of Miguel either as they think dogs are inferior.) We passed all the requirements and Tara came to her new furever home with us soon after. We all love her, and even the cats warmed up to her fairly quickly. She was obviously loved and well cared for in her first home. They must have had a hard time placing such a sweetheart in rescue as they couldn't care for her needs anymore. I hope they know we will always love her and take care of her as they had wanted to. All 3 of the major papillon rescues(Pap Haven, Pap911, and Papillon Club Rescue) have been very supportive and helpful in our search for loving pets. They have brought us so much love in our Miguel and Tara!
