Polly loves being retired. She learned very quickly about the joys of living in a home, and loves everything! She's ecstatic when she can race around a big (unlike our yard) fenced area.

Pet-Peeves:
That's a good question. She doesn't seem to have any. Oh, yeah, she would like to suggest that our yard is too small.

Favorite Toy:
Polly's motto is, "The dog with the most toys wins." Currently she favors the purple hedgehog, but that changes momentarily. The purple hedgehog? He's so last week! She's quite taken with Lydia's monkey, which grunts rather than squeaks.

Favorite Food:
Everything. And if it's "counter surfed", like the 4 creampuffs she stole from our friend's counter, it tastes even better. Polly wants everyone to know that that little episode happened very early in her adjustment to living in a home.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere her Mom, Dad and sisters want to go.

How quickly she won our hearts.

Arrival Story:
Two days after Winnie was diagnosed with bone cancer, in May 2004, we went to Wheeling to pick up foster dogs (for Going Home Greyhounds). Polly was our 34th foster dog, and quickly became our 6th "foster failure". She's so much like our Angel Dog, Patsy, who we lost to lymphosarcoma in Dec. 2003. Everyone knew she would make us smile, and bring us comfort while we dealt with Winnie's illness. And she has done just that.

Bio:
She was born on the Fourth of July, and raced briefly at several tracks in Florida. Her racing name was RSW Playmate. We adopted her in July 2004, and she's fit in beautifully. Actually, she's pretty near perfect! She's sweet and silly, and doesn't mind being "Princess" to Winnie's "Queen", or looking on innocently while Lydia misbehaves.
