New Home in Humble Texas

Hi Everyone!!!

I just wanted everyone to know that we have moved into a new home. Two years after Hurricane Katrina destroyed our home in Kenner, LA, we moved into a new, custom built home in Humble, Texas. We built a 3 bedroom home with tile floors through-out the house so Peek-a-boo and Tommy wouldn't have to worry about having accidents inside anymore. They have a doggy door they can go outside to the backyard and run and play whenever they want to now.

It has been a rough two years, starting all over again! But, with lots of prayers from friends and family, we have rebuilt our lives and are doing fine now. Peek-a-boo and Tommy are very happy in their new house and really enjoy having a backyard.

Almost one year since Katrina

It has now been almost a year since I left my home in Metairie, LA...it's right outside New Orleans. We had just moved into our new house, and it had stairs for me to run up and down, when we had to pack up and leave because of the storm. I have not gotten to go back, but I have been to El Paso, to see my grandpa, and grandma Holmack since then. I also had my second litter of puppies in El Paso, in my grandpa's bathtub!!! I had six beautiful puppies, 4 little girls and 2 boys. One of the boys, Tommy, was very sick when he was born, but my daddy took such good care of him that he is still with us, and he is doing just fine now. Everyone calls him the miracle puppy, because most puppies do not survive what he had when he was born. He lives with us still, and he chases me around the house always trying to grab my tail!!! I don't like it so I go hide under the bed, cause he is afraid to go under the bed!!!

I am very happy now, as my mommy and daddy live in a nice apartment complex, and it has lots of places for me to explore when we go for long walks. We have a lake here, and I like to bark at the ducks in the water. There are two very big ducks...my daddy says they are swans....but they don't like me barking at them, and I run back to daddy when they come too close to me!!!

I also want to thank everyone who sent me nice things here in Houston after I had my puppies. I really liked all the warm blankets that everyone sent me, plus, all the treats people sent for me!!! Yummy!!!!
