Crazzzzzy Beagle!!

So tonight mom took me on a short walk cause she felt bad about me having to be in my crate while her and her mom were baking. I know, silly humans. Baking and not having a taste tester. Tsk tsk. Anyway, back to the walk. So after... ahem, relieving myself in MY woods, we continued throughout the neighborhood and BAM!

A crazy beagle started making all these weird noises at me! Crazy hound noises. It was like, "ROOOROOOWOOORAROOOBROORAROOO" NONSTOP! That beagle's (sensible) golden retriever friend she was walking with just stared at her like she was mad, and she was! So I tried to get to that crazy beagle, pulling mom on my back legs, hehehehe!

So before mom took a faceplant, she hauled me around and went back home. Crazy beagle. Ruined my walk! Next time, it's... it's... Hm... I'm gonna go lick for the floor now. Dum dee dee dum!

Ooops, I haven't written in my diary for over a month! Sorry pups.

Anyways, on Sunday mom baked me a cake! It was funny, and delicious! The recipe called for eggs and dry milk but she didn't have either of those (crazy I know!), so she had to improvize! She cut the egg and used veggie oil (just a bit, I know it's a little unhealthy but I'm not eating ten pounds every day!) for the dry milk. So I was a bit skeptical at first but man was it good! She says next cake she's gonna make me will be around Thanksgiving and it will be PUMPKIN PIE PUPCAKES! I'm so excited my butt is wigglin'!!

Hey pups! Teddy's mom here. If you'd like to see the (real!) recipe for this cake I made here it is-

2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup ice water
1/2 cup dry milk
6 tablespoons margarine
1 teaspoon honey

1. Combine flour, milk, garlic
2. Cut in shortening and honey until mixture resembles cornmeal.
3. Mix in egg.
4. Add enough water so that mixture forms a ball.
5. Roll dough out to 1/2 inch and cut into shapes
6. Bake at 350 F for 25-30 minutes.
7. Remove from oven and cool on rack.

It's really a recipe for cookies but I had to improvize and make it into a cake since I couldn't make it into dough without egg and dry milk.

Wow!

Today was a fun day!! I'm so tired! Here's how it went. First, we went to the human walking park and it was cool. I met a dog, she was black and kind of Chow-ish. Then I barked at this weird stump thing, it was scarey, I tell you! And then a big leaf blower machine came by. It didn't scare me at all. There were these two kids playing with... yup, a TURTLE! I tried to get it but they wouldn't let me, grr! So then, I met these two little girls and gave them kisses. Kids are fun! And then again... There was another family and another little kid pet me. And then the walk ends! Boo. So I get into the car, and prepare to head home. *sigh*

But...

We go somewhere else! Someplace I've never been. I saw dogs, LOTS of dogs! And mom tells me we're at a dog park! It was just like my daycare, but with more humans! Mom was worried at first because there were lots of tennis balls and I like to eat tennis balls! They usually exit somehow but mom didn't want to deal with that, ick. But I was a gooood boy and only picked up a tennis ball twice, and I dropped it when I was told. But the dogs, all the dogs! It was so cool. I ran and ran, and of course went up to greet new people when they came. And then... my best friend Noel came! We chased each other around and it was PAWSOME! Noel stuck her head in the water bucket to drink, it was funny! There was another Golden that came and was scared at first but then we played a lot! I had a good time at the dog park, I hope we go again!

When we got to the car, I promptly laid down, and slept, I was sooo tired! It was such a fun day. Can't wait till next time!

Not fair!

How come the cat gets to eat yummy food, but not me? Why does SHE get that extremely tasty-looking wet food and I get kibble? Alright, so I get kibble mixed with yogurt and carrots, but still! It at least doesn't smell as good as that cat stuff!

Not fair, if I do say so myself. So I did something about it. Mom went downstairs for a minute, and I jumped up on the counter! Hah! Well, I didn't jump, but I put my paws up. But I was tricked! Mom pushed the plate to far back! Ugh, how she know I was going to do that?

...It's not like I've done it before.

Diary of the Day?! Oh wow!

Thanks everyone. I'm so glad my diary was chosen! I've been extra spoiled today. Nomnomnom, extra treats! Hehe. Don't worry though. I'll still be the same, down to Earth pup I've always been, BOL! =P

Walkies!

Ah, walks. How I love them so! But only if I don't have to run, of course. That's too much work. Well, today after my scrumptious dinner my mom took my for a steady walk around the neighboorhood! It was fun. I didn't meet any other dogs though, how sad! Maybe this weekend I'll go to the park, and meet some dogs that are actually friendly! Anyway, mom practiced some obediance with me too. I think she wants me to compete someday! I don't know about that. I heard they don't allow you to use treats! But mom seemed proud when I followed her hand signals without showing me the treat. And guess what? I got a tasty treat after I did it! When the walk ended (boo!), we saw a flock of geese fly over! I wonder what they taste like...
