Best Tricks:
His ability to melt anyone's heart with his gorgeous, soulful eyes. He's also a talented and prolific painter. We create paw paintings with our dogs and foster dogs, and Nick is our best painter.

Arrival Story:
We foster for Going Home Greyhounds, and six years ago, Nick was our second "foster failure". I knew within seconds that our 85 pound lap dog wasn't going anywhere!

Bio:
He raced at Plainfield (racing name JNB Kicker Power) till he severely injured his right hind foot. His 2 middle toes had to be amputated, and he'll still hold that leg up sometimes---that and the eyes really get the ladies. Nick is a patient, innocent soul who loves everyone, especially his sisters Winnie, Polly, and Lydia, his brother Buster (at the Rainbow Bridge), and his Mom and Dad. Our precious Nick went to the Rainbow Bridge on July 31st, 2006. We didn't know until too late that he had Addison's Disease (which affects the adrenal gland), and an enlarged heart, causing cardiomyopathy. In just the space of 2 days, twice going to our own vet and then to the emergency vet couldn't keep our sweet boy with us. He fought valiantly, but his big heart just gave out. Oh, Nicky my love, my beautiful love, we'll miss you and love you forever.
