Arrival Story:
We adopted Tucker at a "Big Dog" adoption event. They told us he was probably beagle mixed with a bigger houndog. But we think he's a foxhound, just look at him. He ain't nothin' but a houndog! He sure sounds like one too. Tucker is the most goofy, fun, friendly and entertaining dog I've ever had the pleasure of owning. If we ever get a 2nd dog, we will definitely consider another hound.

so after looking at pix of other dogs, we now think Tucker is Treeing Walker Coonhound, not Foxhound. either way, he's a hound thru & thru!

today I went in the car with my mom & dad to the "dog park". I've heard about this "dog park" for a long time but didn't know what it was. when we got there, I went into a gate and there were other dogs there, running around having fun. I was a little shy at first but after I sniffed all around the fence, I decided I could meet some other dogs and play with them. there were labradors, weimaraners, golden retrievers and bunch of other dogs, even another dog named Tucker! that was a little confusing having different people calling my name but it was a fun adventure! my mom & dad had fun too and said we can come back next weekend - yay!

Yesterday I went in the car with my mom and dad. They brought a bunch of stuff with us: treats that smelled really good and that clicker they've been clicking at me all week and my kong and my favorite blanket. There were lots of interesting smells there and then a bunch of other dogs started arriving with their owners! I got to meet all of them, it was great! My mom and dad asked me to sit and stay and they kept clicking and giving me lots of yummy treats! There was a nice lady who came around and my parents showed her that I know how to sit and go down and even stay! My parents said I was a really good dog and how smart I am. They called me a star! I guess I did good on my first day of obedience class. Can't wait for next week!
