Quick Bio:

Likes:
Doing anything with me.

Pet-Peeves:
Lola - the girl Airedale he shares the house with. She plays too rough for Eli.

Favorite Toy:
A big pink stuffed bunny rabbit. He has had it since he was six months old and every time I wash it, I think it will fall apart. The drawing is one I did of Eli and his bunny as a design for a block on the Airedale Rescue Quilt

Favorite Food:
Eli eats a raw diet. He loves any kind of meat. He also loves the training treats I bake for him.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere!

Best Tricks:
He does this sort of kangaroo hop to get attention.

Arrival Story:
Eli came to me when he was six months old. I co-own him with his breeder who named him Slam Dunk and called him Shaq, after Shaquille O'Neal (she's a big sports fan). After about a week I called her and said she could call him Shaq, but I just couldn't. Good thing too, since he grew up to be just a little guy, so naming him after Shaquille O'Neal just doesn't fit.

Bio:
Eli is a champion. He just loves going to dog shows and meeting lots of dogs and people. He is the most cheerful and willing dog I have ever known. He also loves going to dog parks and gets along with everyone. Eli earned a Novice Agility title in 2008. He is retired from agility now because his back is getting a bit stiff with age. But he loves to do things with me so we are brushing up on his obedience with the intention of getting a Companion Dog title in the Fall. We started tracking too, which is fascinating. Keeping him mentally and physically active helps keep both of us young. I spend a lot of time at the computer working on the Airedale Quilt rescue fundraiser (see below) and he is very patient, but when he hears the computer turn off he is right by my side, eager to play.

Quilt:
In honor of Eli I participate in the Airedale Quilting Bee. Every year the Bee members create a beautiful quilt that is raffled off to raise funds to help Airedales in need. You can see this year's quilt here.
