Arrival Story:
I saw the dog on petfinder.com and I decided to go meet him in person. When I got to the place, there were way too many dogs in there. He came up to me immediately and I was sold. I was told he was updated on his shots and in good health. Why he was even taken to the vet recently! SO UNTRUE!!!. The woman told me that I don't have to worry about any special food because she feeds him whatever's on sale!!!
When I made up my mind that I would adopt him I went into Petco and just started reading labels so that I could find a good brand of food for him. When I took him to the vet, he was diagnosed with fleas, dandruff and excessive tartar on his teeth. My vet said it looked as if no one EVER cleaned his teeth! Bear also has arthritis and the vet wants to examine his hip in more detail. Bear will have to go under anetshia to have his teeth thouroughly cleaned and extracted if needed.
