We recently had a tree pushed over in our backyard, the hole left behind is his favorite place to play.

That our elderly Staffordshire Lady won't let him join him on the dog bed.

Favorite Toy:
He loves his squeeky plush dog bone pillow...he'll squeek it for hours.

Favorite Food:
Eagle Pack Small/Med Breed puppy...and puppy treats

Favorite Walk:
So far our nice dead end street.

Best Tricks:
He sits, but that's it for tricks, maybe more to come down the road.

Arrival Story:
My daughter & son's Staffordshires were bred and had a litter of 11. I saw them before all 11 were born, and this guy was a stand out. As it turned out my daughter was moving and the new apartment would not allow dogs over 35 lbs...I can't even imagine what they would have said about a dog & 11 puppies. So I became the caregivers for these cutie pies. We found very nice family homes for 10 of them and kept the Lone Ranger.

Ranger, at 9 mos old and Bella (his mom) recently bolted outside through a partially open entryway door..he got hit by a car, breaking three legs and after two weeks at the orthopedic vets he came home for a few days. When we returned to the vet for a bandage change they found that his left leg and paw were extremely damaged and sloughing skin and muscle. The vet also determined that he had irreversible Brachial Plexus Avulsion, which means that his leg had been pushed back so far beyond his head it had damaged the nerves and tendons in the leg and it was paralyzed..which ultimately lead to amputation for that leg. We will now begin to learn how to be a tripod dog and have just as successful and happy a life as he can.

The first time my mom saw me!

My mom tells me I'm such a good boy!

I have been at home about two weeks now, it was so nice to see my mom and my doggy mom and Auntie.
I'm not really impressed that I have to stay in this crate most of the time. But my human mom bought me some memory foam that is about 3" thick and it feels so0o good to lie on. And she tells me that as soon as my other front leg heals and the doc gives the go ahead that I'll be out of jail in no time. So I'm just biding my time, chewing on my chew toys and hanging out. Hey, it could be worse...my mom brings me water and my food, right here in bed. Ahhh, the room service is great here!
And on occasion she will bring me in the living room with her and we sit and watch TV together...I just love that. Of course, my buddy Ms. Kitty often comes over to sit with us and watch TV. I really love her and have missed being able to sniff her alll over. She really loves that!
I will go visit my nice Orthopedic vet on Monday to have my stitches taken out. I love it there too, the girls were all so nice to me..I just can't help but wag my tail when I go there.
I guess my mom is right! I AM a really good boy!

The first time I saw my human mom!

I was born on June 21, 2008 and my mom's human parents called her mother to say that we were born. She came right over to see us. And I was so handsome she couldn't help but notice me.
She was looking for a pup out of my 8 brothers and 2 sisters that looked the most like my daddy, Dante...she hadn't made her mind up yet though because we were all just so pretty and cute.

A few weeks later my human owners moved to a new place, where they could not keep my mother, she was too big. So we moved to my now, forever home along with my 10 other siblings. We loved it there, we got old enough to go out after each meal...and they were working on the wood pile so there were lots of fun places to play!

Now my brothers and sisters have all found very nice forever homes and it's just me. The last brother to go was "Buster" and his new parents were afraid that I'd be lonely....boy were they wrong...Buster was fun to play with but also was taking some of my attention and sometimes I just wanted to sleep in peace.

I love it here! I get to sleep on the couch with my parents and I sleep on the bed with them at night. I'm even smart enough to sleep at the foot of the bed and I never interrupt my parents sleep. I try to be one smart little guy. I already know "sit" and "down" and I'm starting to be well familiar with the word "NO". I can't understand though why they don't want me to peel the paint off the rocking horse?? Oh well.
