Well...

Wheres the time gone?

Kahlua is doing well. Shes the perfect house doggie now. Shes getting some pretty muscular haunches, but I still really wish she'd put on a few more pounds.

Kahlua will be making a visit to the vet sometime within the month to get fixed. I hope she doesn't come home hating us for it.

Shes getting old. Shes such a good girl!!

I'm so glad shes back from Thanksgiving, I can tell she missed me cause she sleeps on top of me everynight.

I guess its time to go get her fixed now.

New Toys are Fun

Everyone got some toys tonight... on an Impulse buy, I got a book called "Boxers for Dummies" from the pet store just because it looked like an interesting read. It was more geared towards a potential buyer and not an owner, but it was interesting anyways.

Kahlua got a new collar since shes growing so fast. She grew right out of her other one. We got her a leather one with a belt-like buckle instead of the clip one like she had before. She could pull hard enough on her lead and rip out of the old one. It think she likes the new leather collar. We got her a bigger kong ball that her treats can fit in, and some new tennis balls to demolish.

Kahlua is going home for Thanksgiving and I'm going to stay here and work. Shes gonna get to get fat on leftover turkey and I'm gonna be without my pup for a week. What ever am I to do?

Parks are for Pups

Kahlua has been to a local park over the past few days and she loves it. Shes such a good girl off the lead... she never strays more than 20ft or so. Her other dad has been taking her lately in the afternoons.

Kahlua might be meeting some friends from http://www.midwestboxerrescues.com/ soon. Then she can have someone else to play with.

I feel so bad for my pup because the neighbors next door have Harley, the 12 month old boxer, with a fenced in back yard and some friends to play with. Kahlua really needs a playmate. The few times shes tried to play with Harley they get pretty rough. I think she misses her family in St Louis.

I think Kahlua needs a younger brother. Maybe a fawn/white mask boy. She'd love that.

Kahlua is 5months old. Shes getting big. Poor girl needs to play more. I'm going to try and find a good park around here for her to play. She loves to play fetch, and I wanna give her more open space to really stretch her legs.

Shes mastered sit, lay down, high five, and shake. Next we're going to teach her "come"... in which she comes and sits at our feet, and then definitely gonna work on her behavior while walking. Shes such a smart little girl with alot of energy.

Shes going thru her first heat. I still haven't decided if we're going to get her fixed yet. Our neighbor has a 12month old AKC boy... I know that we wouldn't be able to handle the responsibility of puppies at this time... but I just don't know if I wanna get her fixed as of yet. Something to think about.

Time to go cuddle with my puppy and goto sleep.
