Arrival Story:
Late January of 2001, our dalmation, Pepper, died. She was 7.5 yrs old, we were all devastated. Mid March my sister-in-law told us about this puppy she had heard about. Her neighbor was working a rotation at animal control. A breeder had dropped off a pure-bred puppy b/c she had a slight underbite and could not be considered as a show dog. Within a couple of days, this cute little puppy would be euthanized. We agreed to take her. We named her Emma, because the name means "Healer of the world". Myson said, "Momma, I think we need healing!" We were all still suffering over the loss of Pepper! Seven years later, The Bean makes us constantly laugh, she is sooooo goofy and lovable!

My Mom tells me that I am now on the internet. I'm confused, is that something to eat? Does it have gravy on it? I have had a long, hard day of guarding the backyard wjile Mom & Dad were at work. At least that is what THEY think! I probably slept on my big "piddow" most of the day! I love it when they come home! I am a very family-oriented, social animal. I spend my evenings in the house with my people allowing them to heap attention on my. (They love that, it is all to make them happy you know!). I have another piddow in the house, but I choose to lay on the hardwood floor next to or on top of their feet sometimes. My 2 best friends are Lucy & Little. They are Jack Russell's that live next door. They are pretty hyper! But I love to run around the yard with them and steal their toys when I can get away with it! I have 2 cousins, Perdita & Jasper. They live with Aunt Carolyn and they are dalmations. When they come we run, run, run. They live in another city so I don't see them very much. Which is probably good, because they get in the way of me getting attention! It is fun when they come, but I am always happy to get the people all to myself again! I have 3 other cousins, Chloe is a Pappillon, she is VERY hyper and thinks that ALL attention should be given to her. Bella is a chihuahua that lives with MiMi. She is my newest cousin. She joined the family when PaPa went on vacation to Heaven. Doolie lives with my cousin Chris. He is a 1 yr old White English Bulldog. He snorts alot! I get very confused about him. I keep hearing people say that he looks like someone named UGA. I'm not sure who that is. Well have to go, it is time for Nap #47 for today!
