Arrival Story:
I was working at a humane society in Vicksburg Ms when a litter of 7 black mangey pups got surrendered by their owner. I fell in love, adopted Rain and treated her mange. Now she is my best friend and a valued member of my family. I love her very much and I wouldn't trade her for the world. (all 5 of her brothers and 1 sister got adopted, by the way)

Bio:
Rain is mostly German Shepherd. She is supposed to be mixed with Malamute but I don't see it. She has a double coat so I'm thinking maybe husky.

My first snow (though it was only snow flurries)

Yesterday morning momma made me get up extra early (8:00, how awful!) and took me outside to see some strange, cold, white flakes falling from the sky. My mom said it was snow! Being the southern belle that I am, I had never seen this "snow" before, so it was very strange to me. It kept getting stuck on my nose, but I had fun licking if off. The snow never stuck to the ground, but maybe someday it will so that I can really have fun in it!


I'll do anything for a cookie!

On Friday, February 4th my mom decided that I should enter a Valentine Stroll on Dogster. So, the made me wear a stupid Valentine pillow and lay on the sofa with a rose. Normally I would have just eaten the stupid pillow and had the rose for dessert but she bribed me with a tasty dog cookie (even though I am sure I'm not a dog). So if you see me looking cheerfully in another direction in my Valentine's picture, know that I am staring down that yummy treat.
