Sheba Louise, Sheba girl. Old girl.

Quick Bio:
-purebred-dog rescue

Going to the river for a swim, sleeping, chasing birds. Keeping the other dogs clean. Whether they like it or not!!!

Sheba is so sweet, I really don't think she has any. She likes everything and everyone!

Favorite Toy:
She has never really played with toys. When she was young I tried to teach her to catch a frizby, but she ran from it. HA HA!

Favorite Food:
People food, which I don't like to give, but she is so old, I give her just about anything she wants. She deserves it.

Favorite Walk:

Best Tricks:
All of the basics. Holding the little ones down to clean them, they cry and try to get away but she is very insistant.

Arrival Story:
The people who lived next door had Sheba and her brother. They got divorced. The wife took the male and Sheba stayed with the husband. He got orders and told me if I wanted her I could have her, and If I didn't take her she would go to the pound. I had formed a bond with her through the fence. She didn't get much attention from her former owner and everytime I would come outside to play with my dogs or give them a treat, she would run to the fence for hers too! I had to take her. I've never regretted it for one day!

Sheba is the most wonderful gental dog in the world. Over the years I have brought home many strays. She has always welcomed them. Now she is like the Queen of the back yard. She is everyones mother. She keeps everyone in line, cleans them and corrects them. She will get a mouth full of food and lay down and let all the little ones eat right out of her little pile of food. She is almost blind now and is beginning to have trouble getting up and down. Sheba went to the rainbow bridge on Saturday Oct 15. I miss her very much!

As you know by now my mom rescued me from going to the pound when I was about 6 months old. Why do people get pets if they are not going to care for them or love them? Anyway my mom loves me very much and has always taken very good care of me. I heard her tell the Vet that the only time I had ever been to the vet were for shots and to get spayed. That I had always been very healthy. Unfortunatly now that I am getting up in years my hips and legs are beginning to hurt. For a long time mom gave me asprin and gluclosemene and it seemed to help, but not any more. The Dr. Put me on another kind of meds and they have helped me alot. However the Vet also told my mom that my liver seemed to have a lot of lumps on it and that could mean cancer. I don't know what that means, but it made my mom cry and cry. The Vet said she didn't want to do anything for my liver because of my age. And she thought the age would get me before the liver did. " Would get me what?" Anyway mom has really been showing me a lot more attention lately and loving on me a lot. Maybe this cancer thing aint such a bad thing after all. The medication the Vet gave me has helped me get around a lot better, but mom stll has to help me get up the stairs with a towel wraped around my mid section. And I still see her cry alot when she thinks I'm not looking. I hope my mom is OK! I really love her and have for a very long time.
