2010 Entries Begin

Hey, it's been a while but I want to thank those that remembered my birthday.
My x-mommy came and visited which was a bit confusing. I laid next to her and put my head on her leg but I really love my new mommy better now so I jumped down and went next to her where I belong and she rubs my belly and stuff. My
x-parents would never let me sleep in their bed under the covers curled up touching mommy. Sometimes mommy even wraps her body around me like a baby cause she says I keep her warm. She also throws my stuffed bone most every time I bark..yeah, I know..I've got her trained. That cat still tries to attack me at times but when mom and dad go into a room and close the door..we both stand next to each other and try to figure out what is going on or how to get in. We would actually make a good team if we had to, plus, we help each other out when mom opens the Tuna so we can both get some.
Not much else new except I got my teeth cleaned again which I never had done in my old house and I've had done twice since I've lived here already plus I've been to the vet for shots and coughing and things. I didn't even know dogs saw doctors! That part is not a good experience for me.
Mom is on the computer a lot because she joined some Spark something website and now she is exercising more and dad has been working a lot of hours. Plus, mom seem's to be getting sick a lot too but the good thing is that when she doesn't feel good I curl next to her and keep her company.
Firepie and I are going to try to do our best to get her on her more often this year but no promises. Hope all is well for all of you.

Things Are Going Good

Hi There,
Let's see..What shall I update you about me? I have this thing I do that mom calls The Sea Lion where I curl in the fetal postiion sometimes around a toy and I move my leg's while making a funny Sea-Lion type noise. Now, I've never heard or seen a Sea-Lion. But, mom and dad really enjoy it so I'll keep doing it for them. I turned 10 this month but I am still trying to act young. I love to play with my squeaky toys still and I love to run up and down the hall although I have found out I cannot run as quickly as I used to and sometimes I start choking and have to stop. Plus, I've noticed when I howl sometimes I sound old and mom will tease me and say I sound like an old man. Whatever. I love living here. I get to sleep next to mom all night and snack on people food plus they take me on lot's of rides and walks to the park. I even like the cat although she is a pain at times scaring me by jumping out at me in the middle of the night. One sad thing though is mom has been sick and has been sleeping in the extra room a lot so I haven't been able to curl next to her for a while. I couldn't jump on the bed since it was to high so the cat slept with mom and I slept with dad. I love dad and I know dad would prefer I be His dog mainly but he doesn't like to cuddle like mom does. Luckily, she is better now and we can all share the bed together.

Another Contest Try

I didn't win the last contest but we are trying again. I will say mom is persistant in this! Now I am in a contest for all of Orange County, CA called MyDog'sFace in www.OrangeCountyRegister.com. Please check it out and vote for me. You can vote from anywhere but only an Orange County dog can win.
Things are okay here and I've had a lot to get excited about. We have had a lot of workers around lately and I hear a lot more are coming. We had a new brick wall put up between us and the neighbors, dad and some guys worked on a pipe leak in the front yard, they had some men build a new shower in the master bathroom and Dads' uncle came over and fixed some things as well as painted dads' office. Mom and dad have been walking around the house trying paint colors all over it so I have a suspicion house painting is next.
I sure hope you all have been well. I've missed you and I am going to read your updates now.

Hope You Didn't Forget Me

As you've probably guessed, the once a month thing isn't working on here for mom but she has been busy. Let's see, she's been sick quite a lot, she went through a bout of depression from headache treatment pills and other bad side effects. Now she is taking two pills that are finally helping. Dad said she can give up on looking for jobs since he can afford it all for the family even after moms' disability runs out. However, I think mom mentioned looking for a part-time job then. Mom volunteered for the library for awhile until she started getting sick so much. Plus, she is on her 25th High School Reunion committee and volunteering with something called Operation Chiristmas Child where they make boxes of gifts and spread the gospel of God to children in different countries.
Mom did enter me in a local contest though and we are asking if you would consider voting for me. It only takes one vote per e-mail and it if for the Cutest Dog in Cypress, CA. It is only for dogs who live in the cities of Cypress, La Palma, and Los Alamitos, CA. so if you don't reside in those cities; please consider it. All you have to do is vote once per e-mail. Long, Long Time

Okay, so mom is like never on here anymore since she is always on something called Facebook now and going to job interviews, etc. Firepie and I are going to try to get her on here at least once a month or so to touch base. She's been complaining that she doesn't have many friends; well look at us mom..our friends are here and we haven't even been communicating with them.
Things are okay here. Nothing really new. The cat and I are doing fine and we both wait in the kitchen when mom opens tuna. We take turns running down the hall so we don't run into each other. Firepie still gets a little jealous sometimes but she's okay. Sometimes, she even rests her paw on my back.

Truck Ride

I went on another truck ride today. This time we dropped mom off somewhere. Mom and dad are really happy that I don't try to jump out. I don't run away either. Plus, I learned the doggy door by myself They think I'm the perfect dog. Hmmm, I'm working on it.

Busy Busy Busy!

This family is so cool! They play with me and they took me for a car ride today. What fun. The wind kept getting in my ears though so I kept shaking my head. Mom kisses me all the time and she gives me treats and takes me on walks. Dad likes to play also and they got me a Halloween squeaky toy! The cat and I are doing okay too. I don't know why but she keeps sniffing me. I don't smell any different then when I first got here. Oh well.

Seeing Docs

Mom took me to the vet again. She's already taken me there for shots. But, I've been itchy and itchy. It itches so bad I bite my skin and then it hurts and make me yelp. I have red on my tummy. Doctor gave me another shot and gave mom meds to take home. I heard mom say she will put them in food to give me. I also heard doc tell mom something about flea meds so I guess that is more meds for me. My previous family didn't give me meds or take me to docs.
I am resting now because the shot made me tired. Mom says we are going back to see doc tomorrow so no breakfast. She keeps saying something about dental, whatever that means. Hope it doesn't hurt.

New Place

Hey, Mom entered me in a contest in the OCRegister called My Dog's Face. I don't know if we are allowed to ask for votes here but I just thought I'd mention it. (Hint, Hint). These people are really cool and they play with me a lot. But, the cat is getting a little witchy. She hit me today and hissed at me. She's the one that approached me so that doesn't seem quite fair. Mom thinks she may be getting a bit jealous since people pet me first. I also am a bit confused because they have this doggy door I'm not used to. I use it when they tell me to but other times, I go on the floor because nobody told me it was time to use the door. Then mom or dad yell at me and get really mad. I've told them I'm sorry. I'm just very confused right now. This is a brand, new place. My other place had young children that would chase me and this one is a lot quieter. I am a bit safer in that respect.
