Birthday: July 14th 2008 Likes: Depends who she's playing with. Fetch is her favorite game with me. Tugging games are her favorite with my mom. Pet-Peeves: loud noises and strangers Favorite Toy: Tennis ball or a strangly the empty cup after she eats a frosty paw. Favorite Food: Salad or any veggies really. Except Sweet Potatoes. Favorite Walk: The walk from the car to the door for Camp Bow Wow. She loves going there. Best Tricks: High Five. And my mom has trained her to eat a peanut butter sandwich. Arrival Story: Not much of a story really. After years of wanting a dog but not being able to have one because we either weren't home enough to have a dog, or lived in places that don't allow them. I convinced my mother to buy a house and that we could have a dog and cat. I'm handicapped now and unable to work so being home with a dog was no longer an issue.
The entire time we were waiting for closing on the house I watched our local Humane Society website for a puppy. This was after doing extensive research on the various breeds that I liked while we were looking at houses. By that point I had narrowed it down to wanting a Lab, Golden Retriever, English Bulldog, or Collie. For about 2 weeks before we closed on the house there was a lab puppy listed at the shelter. The day we signed the closing papers we drove out to the shelter and...the puppy I had been watching was actually Delilah's sister, Tia, but she'd been adopted the day before. Delilah wasn't listed yet (never did find out why) but was available and so loveable and affectionate, we adopted her immediately. Forums Motto: Everyone exists to play with me!
