Favorite Toy: Bones! Balls! They're all great!

Favorite Food: Raw beef ribs.

Favorite Walk: The dog beach.

Best Tricks: "Hop like a bunny"

Arrival Story: We got Chino from a negligent and likely abusive family when she was approx. 1 year old. She is a big love sponge, always wanting to be close. Everyone who visits our home falls in love with her.

Bio: Chino had her right eye removed due to glaucoma and is blind in the left eye because of a cataract. (Don't tell her she's blind, she doesn't know.)
Chino says, "I am THE Queen. Doesn't life revolve around me?
Sure, my humans have been busier than usual lately, but they always make sure I have a soft bed to sleep on, tv to keep me company, and treats galore! The darn cats bother me on occassion, but I get to harass them when they sharpen their claws on the furniture, so it evens out. Life is grand for an old lady like me. I wish every dog had it so cushy."

Forums Motto: Chino- Precious Puppy

Ok, life is still great. I still get my meals on time, and treats on the side. (Keep the carrots coming, Mom!) But something has happened. My people are not here all the time like they should be!
When they leave they tell me I'm in charge, which means I should keep the cats from sharpening their claws on the couch, and to bark real nasty if someone knocks on the door. I like being in charge, but I like the people being home more.
Maybe they should take me with them?

Went to that bad place again today. I kept telling my humans that I was ready to go, but they made me stay. Then that vet man poked at my eye over and over.
Now they're talking about going to ANOTHER vet man who will do something to my eye, and I will be able to see again! That just might be worthwhile! Though Mom says she'll have to work "major money magic" to get that to happen. I guess messing with eyes is expensive.
I sure was happy to come back home.

I had some big changes this year;
Mom started feeding me all kinds of good "yummies" like beef ribs (my favorite), beef feet, chicken, salmon, eggs, cottage cheese, liver... ::drooling:: I'm getting hungry! And I know about the super-big bone she has in the freezer for me- I can't wait for it to get warmer so I can have it!
I went to the vet, which was super-scary. He gave me a shot which made me sleepy, and I woke up without an eye. I sure am glad not to have that awful pain anymore. And I'll tell you a secret- I get more treats now, and mom lets me sleep on the bed (even though I shed everywhere)!
I just found out today that there's a cat who needs a home. He's going to come live with us so he doesn't have to be put to sleep. Maybe he'll play with Gary so he'll stop pouncing on me!(I like cats as long as they don't interrupt my naptime.)
Yup, life is good for an old girl like me.
