My mom drives into the drive way and notices a little ball of fluff and sees how bad of shape she was in and told me to put her into the shower. We had named this dog Gertrude Rose and I loved her from the moment I saw her. Unfortunatly she had an owner even thought this person didn't deserve her, we literally pulled the fleas off of Gertrude and her teeth would have had to be taken out because the owner had never cleaned them. The dog looked like it was never washed, we literally had to cut her hair because the majority of the hair was in tight balls. We tried to keep her as long as we could until the owner called the cops. We decided to turn her into the ASPCA , but they did nothing for us and gave Gertrude to her owner the same night. Long Story short I was heart broken and my mom bought me a dog from Swansboro because she knew how much I loved Gertrude. I love Bella I just wish that I could still have Gertrude but at least she got to live like a princess for a week!
