Ok, I got a complaint that I was not writing enough in my diary. Jojo has kind of taken over a little. Sometimes it happens. She is the one with the PhDs, you know? I am the lovable high school dropout ;o)
Ok, here I come.

On Friday Jojo was in a sad-ish mood, because her leg was still limping. She tried to guilt us into staying home, so we could hang out with her. She almost won. But only almost. Well, you know that mom is a softy with a somewhat hard shell *joke*. She is just a softy. Jojo convinced mom to take her with! Wow, lucky Jojo.
First we dropped dad off at the train station and then drove over to one of our cafes for a tea. Mom parked right in front of the cafe and even paid for the meter, which hardly ever happens. We usually walk a few blocks instead of paying. Well, this time it was different. Jojo slowly walked alongside mom. I in the mean time checked out every inch of our very short walk.
When mom went inside, we sneaked up to her and hid behind her. Waiting outside was lame, 'cause it was a little wet. Mom did not see us. People smiled at her, which she thought was really nice. It turned out they smiled at us.. On the way out mom tripped over me and therefor saw that we were sitting in line, right behind her and everyone else was behind us. Even the police officers were standing behind us with a big grin on their faces. Just the way it was supposed to be ;o) Telling you, this city is nice. Mom is always glad, because we are sneaky ladies, always like to be around mom and see what she does. There might be something in it for us, too, right?
When mom got her tea we hung out in the armchairs in front of the cafe for a good 45 min. Mom was in a restless mood for some reason. Is there such a thing as "restless mood"? Well, now there is ;o)
Then we got back in the car and drove to the other side of the bridge for a dentist visit. Mom had chipped one of her teeth. Technically two, but in reality one. Mom's teeth are kind of fragile, but her dentist takes good care of them.
The staff was happy about our visit as always. Jojo got lots of awwwwws and ooooohs and I got the standard affectionate hello :o)
The dentist did a fine job fixing the tooth. We will have to go back next week for the other, though. Mom did not want to stay, which happens sometimes. So we will go back next week. That's cool.
After the visit we drove over to mom's regular Dr. She had a bump on her eyelid. The lady at the office gave mom an appt right this day a few hours from when we got there. That was really nice.
For waiting purposes we drove over to the Point Isabel. Great idea! The weather had cleared up already and it was nice and sunny. We hung out on the bench, since Jojo could not walk. It thought it was a brilliant idea. Jojo truly enjoyed hanging out in the sun, too. Mom went to buy some treats for us, which was special.
We spent a good hour there, talking to people and some pals.
For lunch we met up with our friend at our favorite Mexican place. The humans chatted a whole lot and we fell asleep. After lunch we drove to the Dr office for the appt.
The Dr was really nice, as always. He checked out mom's eye and concluded that it was nothing major. Good. He told mom that he would like to take it out anyways. He brought a needle, explained what he was about to do and started poking mom's eyelid *ouch* He commented everything he did, though, which mom needs or else she would panic. Mom was very brave, only passed out for a second ;o) but hung in. At some point she told him to stop, though. She wanted to go. Her head had this disturbing phantasy that with a wrong move the needle might end up in her eye! Mom could not stop visualizing that. The Dr was really good though and respected mom's wish.
He suggested to try to squeeze it now, since his digging was successful enough the way it was. Mom ok'd it and then all went fast. There was a skin and oil build up in one of the glands. The Dr could squeeze it all out. It did not hurt, mom said and her thought process was successfully interrupted. Sometimes mom can't stop with the thinking, but with some outside help it usually stops. Mom was glad she got it over with. She just took off, because she wanted to be with Jojo and me in the car to simmer down. She is going back to see him, because there were two more things. But for this day it was more than enough.
We drove back across the bridge and visited the dogs at the shelter for some training. It was very nice.
Finally the day was over, dad got home when we did. Nice :o)

Saturday, which was yesterday, we went on a short walk in our park in the morning. Actually dad took only Jojo, not me. He always says it's a pain to walk me, because I really want to stay with mom rather than walking around with him ;o)
I was perfectly fine with this decision and hung out with mom.
When dad and Jojo got back, we got in he car and drove into the city. Jojo had to stay home. We stopped at our friend's house, which was really nice :o) I like going there..
I said hi to my pals and enjoyed checking out the place.
The humans talked and talked and talked. One of my pals, Lucy, is very old now. She was sleeping most of the time *sigh* the other pal, her name if Phebe, is still a really really cute little pup. She really wanted to play with me, but I ignored her. Sometimes we talked, she is smart. It was fun listening to her. I checked in on Lucy once in a while, but she was tired.
The day at our pals' place was really nice. We just hung out and chatted.
But then we had to leave. The weather was kind of not nice, but the weather woman promised clear skies in the evening, which turned out to be true *yeah*
It was fireworks night at the stadium!!
Mom and dad left me home, because they did not want for Jojo to be by herself again. Dad said it's boring. Ok. Ah, we also spoke to the vet about Jojo. She concluded it might only be a sprain. Good. Jojo got a prescription for some Rimadyl until Tuesday. We have to get back to the them then. We decided against pain meds, because Jojo is not in pain. The Rimadyl will help with inflammation, though.
Mom and dad were very happy when they came back. The A's won and the fireworks were great. The A's are the team with the best pitching staff in the National and American league. They should win more often and play like they did yesterday. It was a fine game.

Today, which is Sunday, we are taking it slow. This afternoon we will go to another A's game. This time I am going!
Looking forward..
Happy woofs to you all :o)
