My Brother in law called from a pet store where Dudley had been returned because the owners no longer wanted him. The pet store had taken him back because the owners had taped another dog's mussle shut for barking! When he arrived, he was terribly hand shy and it was obvious he had been abused. But he was not snappy or aggressive with humans. We weren't sure of his exact birthday, but he was close enough to a year on my late husband's birthday so that is when we celebrate it. It didn't take long for him to loose the fear of hands! He sticks to me like glue, and has to be within two feet of me! The 'new man' in my life.
Bio:
This little guy becomes more affectionate each day. Sometimes to the point of being a bit annoying. I cannot imagine life without him now. And to think I almost turned him down. Unthinkable! I only wish I could be the goddess he seems to think I am.

Gee, I've been here a week and no one hit me! Mom was pretty upset when I tried to mark her house and hollered NO. But she showed me where I was supposed to get rid of that water. I am bigger and heavier than Mackinze. It looks like we are playing pretty rough, so she crated us when she had to go away. (She calls me a Bully) She gave us frozen bones filled with yogurt, so we didn't mind a bit.

The first day of summer and here I am in a cage back at the pet store because my owners didn't want me. I was pretty afraid of them anyway. Pretty afraid of everyone. A nice lady came in and was trying to pet me, but I didn't trust her. After a little while I crawled close enough for her to scratch my ears. Nice! She didn't hit me when I licked her hand. She told her husband she couldn't just leave me there and he said they already had two dogs. They called Katy and talked her into taking me to be a buddy to her Mackinze. There were a lot of people over for a cook-out when I got there, and I was pretty nervous. Mackinze wanted to play, but I was too afraid. But everyone was so nice that pretty soon I was being petted and talked to and forgot to be afraid and cower.

Mom was going to write my diary, but I won't go to bed without her. I keep nudging her leg, and she has decided to go to bed and finish my diary later. She can be such a night owl! Then she sleeps too late for me to watch the bunnies in the yard at dawn! Humans can be so tiresome!
