Furry Update

Well, it's been four months since I found my new home. I've been to the groomers once to get a trim (mostly the fur around my paws). My daddies have been letting my fur grow out. I look so cute but its so annoying when I go for walks now. Pricklies and junk get caught in my fur. I can't roam around the back yard anymore. My daddies say I can go out back again when the lawn is cut. Until then, my walks are restricted so as to avoid pricklies.

But I'm looking beautiful. I can't wait to post new pictures. I have to go to the groomers again to get the fur around my paws trimmed. I'll let my beautiful fur grow out for now. Maybe in the summer, if it's too hot, I'll trim it down. I don't think I want to be fully shaved ever again.

Coming Home

I was left at the Miami Animal Shelter on the 28th of August and I thought I'd never be happy again. So many people coming in and out, walking past my cage, sticking their fingers in, and disappearing forever. I guess I didn't know it, but when Carlos and Ozzie came to my cage, my life would be changed for the better. They came again on the 2nd of September. I was just so happy to be out of my cage I didn't even notice who was holding my leash. They took me for a fun car ride and I found myself in a new house with a comfy bed and lots of toys.

Since then I have become great friends with Carlos and Ozzie. I love them so much I get sad whenever one of them leaves. They take me for great walks and I have a nice little yard where I like to hunt bugs in. Carlos is always watching me, making sure I'm not eating any bugs, but I still like to chase them.

I've been sneezing a lot lately so Ozzie took me to the vet. I found out I had Kennel Cough. I have to take a pill and a half two times a day but I don't mind it. They put it in my treats and I take it like a big girl. The vet also said I'm actually 2 years old (not 1 year old like they thought at the Pound). He also said I was healing from my surgery very well. I had been spayed (whatever that is) before I left the pound.

Carlos says that once I'm better I can go to the dog park and play with all the different doggies. I'm so excited and I can't wait to see the different types of doggies their are. Carlos and Ozzie say that once I get better they will consider bringing a new doggy home for me to play with.

Lots of Love,
Serena
