back home, thank goodness!

Boy, I had quite the weekend away! I ate lots of turkey and other good floor food. Good thing my Mommy's family is so clumsy! Anyhow, I spent the whole weekend playing with my Uncle Baron and my new Auntie Lucy. She's just a baby, and she looks like lots of my friends all mixed together in one dog. She could be part Golden Retriever, Dachsund, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Beagle, who knows! But she jumped all over my belly and it tickled, and she nibbled on my ears, and we played lots. It was fun to pretend I was a little kid again. Anyhow, my time with Uncle Baron was fun too. My human Uncle Joe wrestled with both of us, and my grandparents are always impressed at how well-behaved I am (if they only knew... haha!).

Anyhow, it was totally exhausting! I think I was the only one in the car happy to see the "New Jersey Welcomes You" sign...I just wiggled my bum and wagged my tail in anticipation of the smelly air and loud college kids. And I finally got to completely relax. I slept and slept and slept.

The hardest part about coming home, though, is that my grandparents have a big fenced yard and I don't ever need to be on a leash. My mommy brought me for a walk this morning and boy, was it a pain in the bum to have that thing pulling on my neck the whole way. I mean, my goodness, if I want to stop and sniff something, I should be able to do that. I know I played with a puppy this weekend, but I AM a big girl and can make my own choices about what I sniff and where! Sheesh!

Seriously, though, it's good to be back!
