Team member Shoob got his wings.January 30th 2008 8:40 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Sadly on 1-1-08 we had to let our Shoob go. His cancer had returned and this time he could not beat it. We will always love our Shoob. The Sheeb has slowly returned to her normal self. Now she wants even more attention, that she does get.

Recheck at CornellDecember 11th 2006 6:28 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Had shoob rechecked at Cornell for status of his lung mets. The news was not good. As expected. They have almost doubled in size. He is still as active as before but we know his time is coming. He now has a tooth infection in the area of his past radiation treatments. We were warned not to let any one pull theese teeth even though it looks bad. So we are taking the radiation oncologist advice and I will try brushing them myself.
We went back for another Cornell recheck.October 1st 2006 1:11 pm[ Leave A Comment ] After another Cornell visit Shoobs lung mets from chondrosarcoma have not progressed much. This is good news. His activity level is unchanged, so we spend as much time as possible out hiking.

Shoobs final visit to CornellJune 22nd 2006 6:42 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Shoob had his final visit following his enrollment in a clinical trial. The results showed that the chemo trial did not stop the lung tumors. We left the hospital feeling like a long journey has ended. Shoob was sure glad to get out of there though. Now we are left to hoping that the tumors are slow growing and make the most of the time we have left.
06022006 Shoobs cancer updateJune 2nd 2006 6:50 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Completed second round of chemo for lung mets. feeling really yucky again. Our favorite Dr. Autio says that the nodules have not increased in size. That is good but there is also no reduction in size also. Sticking with the protocol we go back in three weeks for final determination. Poor Sheeb showes she is lost during his time away from her. That is something we all will have to reckon with.
