Arrival Story:
Daisy was turned in to the humane society at 5 years old. She was very over weight and very scared. We brought her home and she quivered for days. Now, six months later, she wanders around the house, getting away from her safe spot. She has lost a little over a pound and is getting more active every day.
Bio:
Now, it has been 18 months with Daisy. We have learned that she has many medical problems related to her being over weight. We have her weight down to just under 10 pounds. She is now in swim theropy to build up muscles in her hips and knees. Swimming is definatly NOT her favorite thing, but she seems to feel better every passing week. 21 months... down to 9 pounds!!! Daisy actually RUNS in the yard and in the house!!! Still swimming and getting stronger. Still sleeping lots, but more inquizative of things in the house and the yard. If it is niceout she explores...
UPDATE Nov, '06 DAISY IS DOWN TO 6 POUNDS 8 OUNCES!!! Her skin has cleared up and he coat is looking great!
