Arrival Story:
We adopted Emma from the Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS) in Danbury, CT in February 2004. We originally went there to look at another dog of theirs. We brought our dog Mousse who was the only dog we had at the time. The dog we originally went to look at growled a little at Mousse so that was no good. They said they had another dog who might like Mousse (he likes all the ladies!) so they brought out Emma. She and Mousse hit it off right away. Within 5 minutes or so, they were both sniffing the ground and Emma went right under Mousse and started sniffing the ground there and Mousse was fine with it so we decided it was a good fit and it is. Mousse loves Emma and she loves him and likes to flirt with him.

Bio:
Emma was rescued by DAWS from the Bowling Green shelter in Bowling Green, KY. She is wonderful dog who took a little while to come around to us. However, that is understandable as this was the third home she had been in. She now gives kisses like crazy and loves to cuddle. She also loves to herd the other dogs around the yard. Her job is to protect the yard from birds. When she sees a bird fly over the yard, she chases it until it flies away and then she barks at it while it's flying away.
