Do I have to be a big sister?

We have had my little brother, Brooklyn, for a month and 9 days... he is fun to play with but my Pawrent tells me to be gentle a lot! Jeez, we are just playing! It's not like I weight that much more than him, right?!

He has the nerve to come up on the bed and sniff my bone! *gasp* I go into his crate to get his bones, and that is just fine... he just can't take mine! I growl and pounce on him to let him know he has overstepped his boundaries.

Besides, he has bitten me and ripped me to shreds with those pieces of glass he calls teeth! I have bite wounds all over my body- face, back, belly, legs. I have the right to steal his bones when he does that to me! Ok, ok... maybe not, but I should!

He is my little buddy and I am very protective of him... we have gone to the dog park twice and each time I have growled at a dog I think has gotten too close or is bothering him. I don't know why my Pawrent took us home so fast!!! Hmm... I am up to date on all my shots and my little buddy has one more set to get done before our Pawrent says we can go to the park again. It is taking too long! Not fair!

Good 'ol summer days-but it's not summer yet!

It is so hot here!!!!! My pawrent has been taking me to the doggy park late at night, and it is so beautiful at that time! I run around and play with other doggy's and chase balls... what a life! I have some new toys, and I have a new crate to keep me out of trouble when my Pawrent is away at work. Its comfy and lined with blankets and toys, so I don't mind it. Now, the first time I was in a crate, I cried because I didn't have a chance to get used to it. The upside was that I was able to hang out with my Pawrent in the camping grounds at our local racetrack for the Nascar weekend! That was an adventure... we hiked a mountain, and walked around in ravines. I was in heaven! Plus all the attention from friends and family... heaven!

Still no park playtime!

My pawrent is afraid I will bite another doggy over a ball... the last time she took me, I didnt! However, I did get obsessive and follow the doggy that took the ball from me... we did have a growling match, but we didn't try to hurt each other. That's a good sign right? My pawrent is trying to read information, and talks to other owners.. so far the information is so confusing. I know she wants to be a responsible owner.... *sigh*

Ruh-roh!!!!! My pawrent doesn't know what to make of my- behavior.

Today, my pawrent took me to the doggy park at different time and none of my friends were there. I wrestled with a new pal, then decided to play with some balls. My pawrent kicked a ball for me to chase, then she kicked another one towards where the other doggy was. I dropped the first ball and chased after the doggy for the second ball... then I fought with the doggy for the ball. My pawrent ran over to me, yelling at me to stop. She had never seen me do that before-go after a doggy, and she was beside herself. I do usually chase a dog off or growl to warn them to stay away, but don't attack. Needless to say, after my pawrent checked to see if the other dog was ok, she took me away from the park. We went to get a bath and nail clipping, and she was nice enough to buy me my favorite treat- peanut butter pie! She is the greatest.... when we got home, she took care of my wounds and still gave me love.

Gettin older and maybe wiser...

Two weeks ago, I was at the dog park playing with my new tennis ball and I decided to go sniff at another doggy's ball. Lets just say, I wasn't going to let a doggy growl at me and I ended up gettin bit. Guess, I have to learn to leave other doggys alone... hmmm, but a week later I was back in action at the park and no problems thus far! Yipee! I better goin and have my pawrent take me for my evening walk!

Day 8

Mommy took off my e-collar, and boy was I in heaven!!!! I started writhing around on the floor, and next think ya know- collar back on!!!! I guess Mommy thought she saw my incision open or something. Better safe than sorry-AGAIN! However, she did go to our local Wag N' Wash and bought me some wonderful treats- Cannoli's and Pupcakes(she didn't make the name up, that is what they are called)! Boy were they yummy! She also bought me some Innova biscuits that are delish... and some more Innova dry and wet food(large puppy formula). I'm trying to find a way to get some more treats out of the bag, but nothing is working.

Day 5

I nearly gave Mommy another heart attack by trying to chase a cat and scale a wall to get the cat!!!!! I don't know why I have to wear this thing around my neck... it keeps me from chewing my bones or doing ANYTHING comfortably! Jeez! Mommy says we can take it off in 5 days, but I want it off now!!!! To Mommy's credit, she did give me the benefit of the doubt and took it off for about 10 minutes. Boy, did she regret it- no more than 6 minutes before I started licking my wounds! Back to square one.

Day 2

It has been two days since I had my surgery, and I am feeling like my happy self but my Mommy will not let me play! I want to jump- she says no, try to run- no, try to chase cats on my potty walks- no! Did she change my name without telling me????! I don't think I like "No" as a name... I don't like to hear it as it is! Worst of all, my buddies at the doggy park must not know what to do with themselves! I haven't been there in four whole days... I wonder who I can call to complain. My rights are being hindered ya know!? I better get back to napping, thats all I get to do these days.
