If life were a song...

If life were a song, I think mine would be "It's a Great Day to be Alive" by Travis Tritt. I love life and love being alive. I almost wasn't though. My former owners, for whatever reason, turned me into a shelter. I was skinny and dirty and had lots of yucky fleas on me. A nice rescue lady found out about me and went and saved me before I was put to sleep. The only thing is, she didn't have any room for me! She didn't know what she was going to do, but she knew she couldn't let me die. She called her friend who called my foster mom. Since my foster mom had a Dane already and knew how to take care of us, she said she would foster me. Thats how I got my name, Foster cause I'm a foster dog, and my foster mom wanted a generic kind of name, so it would be help her not get attached. I don't think her idea worked, though.

My foster mom loves me and has been teaching me some manners cause I sure didn't have any to start with. I thought everyone's food should be mine, which my mom said was understandable, but not acceptable. I was never aggressive, I just tried to share. I've almost learned to wait my turn haha!

I've gained enough weight that I will soon be ready to neuter. I don't know exactly what that means, but my mom says it is a VERY good thing for everyone involved. She says spaying and neutering pets is the most responsible thing a pet owner can do. She says that many dogs and cats and even puppies and kittens DIE in shelters every day because not enough people "fix" their pets. I don't know what is broken on me, but I sure do want it fixed so I can help save some lives. I sure don't want to be a reason for other animals dying.

Thats it for now, I will try to update this some, but it is hard to type with these big 'ole paws. Plus, I'm not supposed to be on the computer for some reason...
