Arrival Story:
We spotted Waldo at our local humane society. He won us over almost immediately with that face. He came home with us on Labor Day. Now we will have our hands full with a puppy. He seems very smart and the cats are ok so far. We will see if they can bring him around.

Well. I have finally grown into a very "Handsome Man". My Mom tells me that all the time. Now I am trying to raise my little brother Dingo. Mom says he is a handful. She says that I was never as bad as Dingo when I was a puppy.
Nobody can believe that I have grown into such a fine dog. I weight 67 pounds now, and I am very strong. Even though I could beat up Dingo very easily, I allow him to climb and bite me all the time. He tore up one of my Harley collars because he drags me around all the time. If I am not wearing my collar, he drags me around by my "wrinkles". I like my little brother and I know he will grow out of the puppy stage he is in now.
I allow him to go with my Mom and I when we have to go and check on people that want to adopt animals from the animal shelter. Sometimes we just have to go and drive by their addresses. Dingo and I can not go when Mom has to take a dog for interaction with their new family. That is the most important part of finding them a home.
Dingo was dumped out of a car in front of the shelter. Why do some people treat us like garbage? We boys are both lucky our Mom and Dad love us. I wish all animals could have a nice, warm, loving home like us. Even though we have to live with 3 kitties, they are not so bad!

I GOT BLESSED!

My Mommy had to take 12 kittens to the Pet Bless Fest Saturday. The kittens live at the humane society. The kitties were there at the festival looking for new homes. Mommy worked at the festival at the church all day Saturday. My Daddy and I decided we would take a ride and go check it out. I met lots of other animals there. I met a skunk, a racoon, and bunnies. Of course people had cats and dogs too. Mommy told me that I needed the Priest to bless me. I had no idea what that meant. The Priest said a prayer for me and dipped a small branch in some water and sprinkled me. Mommy said I need all the blessings I can get. The water kinda scared me. Then I decided if bunnies could get blessed, I certainly could.
It turned out to be fun and I got lots of cookies.
Mommy had a jar that people put money in for the animals that live at the shelter. I hope that they all find good homes like me.
I am starting to grow up. I am getting taller everyday.
I have gained 6 pounds, and I am now what they call "neutered".

Busy, Busy Day!

Yesterday I went with my Mommy to visit two houses that want to adopt dogs from the humane society. My Mommy explained to me how some people don't always tell the truth. One house was vacant, and had a for sale sign in the front yard. One address was trying to adopt a hound dog and didn't have a fence. They said they did! My Mommy and I caught them!!!!!
I went to play with a big doggie friend for awhile, and I was so tired when I got home I ate my supper and went to sleep. I am really a great big help to my Mommy while she is checking up on these people. I came from this shelter, and I want all the animals their to get a wonderful home like me!
