got to go camping again

only this time it was really wet and rainy. thankfully my pawrents remembered to bring my coat, cuz boy did i need it!!

i had fun, but was a little uncomfortable at first because i had to camp along with my two "cousins" who are pretty obnoxious. they are both fluffy white hyper boys, and they get into my space bubble all the time. i only growled at them a little, and mom says that i still did pretty good though, considering.

i also got to hike with a backpack for the first time. it was wierd. i kept forgetting that i was wider than normal and would run into things, but i got better fast.

i did get into a little trouble though. Daunte decided to chase this truck that drove by, and when he took off after it, i couldn't help but join in when mom took off running to go get him. so both me and him got in trouble for it... that is once she caught us. both me an Daunte could tell she was mad, and niether one of us wanted to come when she called us. she's never done anything bad to us, but well... she just sounded mad so we didn't... way to go Daunte, getting me in trouble like that...

mom says that Daunte's gonna have to go to doggy school, and that i'm next in line. but because i've never chased cars before now (and had plety of opportunity to) that Daunte gets to go first cuz he obviously needs it more, but she says i'm not off the hook.

i get to go running :)

So, with the warmer spring weather, mom has decided that there is no reason to not get us both into shape and start running!! WOO-HOO!! She say's that i'm her little running partner. Both Annie and Daunte have to stay home, so neener neener neeee-ner!! :)

It's so wonderful, we're only running 2 miles right now, but i think we're gonna get to go farther eventually. I could run much farther, but i have to wait for mom to catch up to my natural athletic ability :)

i'm home!!!

so dad made it up to visit me an mom. i was sooo excited to see him!!! mom and dad talked it over and decided that it would probably be for the best that i go home with him. i was sad to leave mom, but was way excited to go home :) i was even excited to see annie!! turns out that i actually like that little brat more than i let on!! :)so  now we are all just waiting for mom to come home. 2 more days!! woohoo!!

homesick

Well, it's been a week since mom and i have been on our trip, and i've got to say that i'm ready to go home. it's been really fun, i've got to go to the dog park almost every day and lots of walks, which is really fun, but there was a dog at the park that i didn't really like very much the last time i was there, he very rudly started jumping on me before i was finished sniffing... oh well.
i hate it when mom leaves me in the hotel room...i'm afraid she's gonna leave me here... she keeps telling me though that dad is gonna come up and see us this weekend, providing that the roads are good. if that's the case, mom said that i could go home with dad. she'll be lonely but will make it i'm sure.

sigh...both of us just want to come home, i never thought i'd say it, but i think i actually miss Annie...what does that say!

road trip!!

me an mom went on a road trip and i'm gonna be an only dog for two whole weeks!!! it's wonderful! :) i get all of her undevided attention, plus, since we're staing in a hotel for the whole time, i get like 5 or 6 walks a day, i am so LOVING it!! :)

the only part that really sucks is that i had to ride in the car like 6 hours... that wasn't so much fun, and neither is that stupid thing that mom keeps calling an...an...elevator...i don't like the floor moving one bit... but she says that i'm just gonna have to suck it up because the only stairs that they have are fire stairs...grrrr.

oh well, i'm tough. chao for now! :)

christmas!

This was my first Christmas with Annie and Sandy, and boy was it fun! First of all we got presents! i got this really cool stuffed squeeky bone that i ran around the house squeeking, then later i played fetch with it out in the snow, and it was so great because i could squeek it all the way back to mom to throw it again :) and did i mention that it's SQUEEKY!!? :))

i had a play date with Beau!!

Beau is my best friend! Someday if foster moms brother ever moves out of his mom's house i get to go and live with him and Beau! i'm happy here, but i miss Beau and i don't get to see him to often.

Today we went down to the river where Annie and i get to run, and man to i LOVE to run! But today it was even better cuz everyone was there Annie, Beau and Missy, my "sister" from the ranch that i came from originally. The only one who wasn't there was Gypsy who i really don't like (and she returns that sentiment ten fold). It was sooo much fun, i can't wait to do it again next weekend hopefully!! :))

I'm pretty tuckered out though, so i'm gonna go and take a nap :)

Snow!!

Ok, so i woke up this morning and it was winter, there was a TON of snow outside to play in and eat! Which is fine, i like winter... except when its cold... see i don't have too much fur, so i like to play in the snow, but not for very long. Plus, foster mom and dad couldn't turn the heater on right away, so it was like 52 degrees F today IN the house... brrrr!

So foster mom went to petsmart today and bought me a coat!! i was a little sceptical at first, but now i don't mind it. I'm soo much warmer!! Plus, i'm pretty!! :)

what a great weekend!!

So, i got to do this thing called camping this weekend. It was SSSOOO much fun. The only thing i didnt' like was that i had to share the back of the truck with Annie on the way up and back, and she' kinda a bed hog... but anywho, it was still great.

We went hiking, and fishing, and i got to play in a lake, even though it was really really cold!! i didn't care!! Foster mom said that we wouldn't be able to go anymore this year because it's too cold, and i've got to say, i agree with that one. Once we stopped playing and running around, i couldn't stop shivering. Course then it was foster mom to the rescue, she put me on her lap in front of the fire and i finally warmed up. She promised that she'll buy me a coat the next time we go camping... i wonder what a coat is...

walk err..um run today

So we went for a walk like normal tonight right, well apparently Annie used to get let off the leash for part of the walk that was fenced in on one side, and a big ditch on the other. This hasn't been the case since i got here though, apparently she doesn't trust me to come back...So tonight, new mom decides that Annie should get the chance to get off the leash, but not me... grrr. Anywho, she hooked Annie's leash up to mine so that i had a pretty long lead, so it wasn't all bad. But then she surprised me, i must have impressed her by my awesome leash manners, cuz all of a sudden she's letting me off too and telling me to "be good" AS IF!! muahahahaha!

As soon as that leash was off, i was gone! Just a black and white streak! Keep in mind i used to be a farm dog and this was a privilage that i took for granted. So new mom, in a bit of a panic calls me back and I came...that time. After that i decided that there was WAY to much other stuff that needed to be sniffed and peed on and chased, you know, all that jazz. So, after 5 min or so I decided that i supposed i would come to her, if for no other reason than to shut her up. Apparently though, i did something wrong, cuz she hooked me back up to the leash, DARN IT ALL! Oh well, i got a good sprint and a swim out of it, hehehe :)

Course now she keeps telling me about this thing called a whistle, and long rope in my future...whatever that means!!
