Birthday: November 1st 2007 Arrival Story: Am I cute or what? My name is Seven! I was purpose bred for research, but after I arrived at the laboratory, they discovered that I have a a mild bleeding/blod clotting disorder that is actually common in beagles. It is called Factor VII Deficiency. Get it? Factor VII? My name is Seven! LOL.
Many dogs that have Factor VII Deficiency do not have any problems with it - especially as housepets. This condition, however, disqualified me from research studies, so the laboratory asked CBR-East to help find a home for me! Bio: Seven may be more prone to bruising, and veterinarians and adopters will need to be careful during surgeries, but we will take care of her spay surgery and will see how she does. Factor VII Deficiency is a genetic disorder, and will be something she will always have. Please review the links below for more information about Factor VII Deficiency:

Seven just arrived at CBR-East, so we'll post more as we learn more about her! She will need to learn about cratetraining, housetraining, people, grass, and the world!
Update: Seven has recovered from her spay surgery without any complications and is doing very well. She is very sweet. :) Her ideal home would include another beagle, someone home fairly often to keep her company, and someone to give her a lot of love, attention and patience! A home with young children will probably overwhelm Seven, so we're looking for a calmer home where she can continue to develop her confidence. She is cratetrained and housetrained to a schedule, and just waiting for the right adopter to come along and offer her a wonderful retirement!
