Life has been pretty hetic for me and mom since my last entry. I'll try to be diligent in keeping everyone up to date. Mom was sick for a week, I loved her being home with me, but we didn't get to do a lot. :( I had fun chewing up all my toys while she was sleeping. I'm sure she'll help me put that picture in my book!
We traveled a lot for her work, it seems like I was always sleeping in a new bed, but she says that is changing after next week! We are going to be home from now on. I can't wait. I'll go to day care a couple days a week, and I guess someone is going to come in and spend time with me on the other days. Should be fun.
I'm sure the photos we post will show what I have really been up to over the past couple of months. Hope you enjoy!
I'll update soon.
I know we are going to Michigan for Thanksgiving, I get to meet my new furcousin Casey, I can't wait!
Whew, another busy week for my mom and me. I was still recovering from that super long car ride back home from Michigan and mom says we are going out of town again. We had to go to some place called Little Rock, AR, but she promised me that I would enjoy it.
Mom took me to the dog park on Monday so that I could burn off some energy. Tuesday I had to stay home most of the day by myself because mom had to work. Wednesday, we headed to Little Rock. When we arrived at our hotel, there was a lot of people there so I didn't get to play that much.
Mom let me play with my ball in the hotel room, but only for a short time, she said she didn't want to disturb the other guests since I can get pretty noisy. She let me chew on my loofah toy from PetSmart on the bed.
I had to go potty at 2am and was surprised that there was someone downstairs to play with. My new person friend, Paul, works at the hotel. Mom says he loved my older brother and was there for her during his last week before he passed away. He was in Little Rock that whole week. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet him. :( Mom let me play with Paul for over an hour before she insisted we get some more sleep!
Mom knew she was going to be working all day on Thursday so she took me to DowntownDogz for the day. I had sooooo much fun. I played so hard that all I wanted to do when I got back to the hotel was sleep!
Even though I'm on special food with no grain, mom let me get treats from the hotel but I was so sleepy that night, I didn't even want to stay awake and play to get treats!
Mom says we'll be back again for me to play there.
This next week I have to stay at the PetsHotel while my mom goes to a meeting. I'm not excited about being away from her for a week. I know she isn't either. She's taking me to the dog park today for a while so we can play before she has to drop me off tomorrow.
Wow, it has been a fun few weeks since I've come to live with my new mom. I have already been on vacation to Michigan. It was a LONG car drive, but my mom knew that I needed a lot of time outside to play, so she stopped every 3 hours for us to be outside and play with my toys. She packed all of my favorites so I would feel like I was still at home. Once we got there, I met my grandma, all of my aunts, and some of my cousins. I didn't get to meet any of my new doggie cousins though, they stayed home.
We went to Mackinac Island, MI for a few days. That was pretty exciting. I didn't like the boat ferry over though, the wind was too much so my mom had to take me downstairs. I wasn't happy that the horse "puppies" didn't want to play with me. They kept ignoring me! I made a GRAND entrance at the hotel when I pooped in the lobby. I wanted them to know I was there! They were so nice about it though, no one yelled at me.
We walked ALL over Mackinac Island. Everyone was so friendly. They kept stopping to pet me and talk to me. Some even remembered me the next day and stopped to say hello! There were other doggys there that I was able to say hello to and play with. I was so tired on the last day that I didn't even play with my toys in the morning, I slept in! Mom let me lay in the grass to relax for a while. I was able to spend most of my time with my mom and family instead of staying in the hotel. Mom kept saying it was nice that everything was so dog friendly. I was even able to ride in the horse taxis and go in the Fort!
The ferry ride back wasn't so bad, I was tired, so I slept.
We stayed at Grandma's house for a couple more days before we took that LONG car ride back home.
I spent today catching up on my sleep and getting into trouble. I decided since I was home, I was going to do everything I wasn't supposed to do, like chew on a shoe, a slipper, and even tried to get on the table 3 time! Mom told me I couldn't do that, but I kept trying. I finally learned she wasn't going to let me.
Overall, I have had a great few weeks with my new mom and I can't wait for what is to come!
