Arrival Story:
My boyfriend Kyle and I had been wanting to get a second dog for the longest time, but couldn't at our old house since it was too small for Cody plus a new dog. Last autumn we moved into a much bigger place, and Cody was having separation anxiety again when we would leave, and we decided to get him a new little brother or sister to keep him company. After searching and searching online on different rescue sites or newsgroups and in the paper, we found Indy on the SPCA site for Gatineau/Hull. We drove out to the SPCA and Indy was one of about 15-20 dogs there, and one of about 6-7 puppies all from the same litter. We picked her because she was nice and quiet and docile while all the other dogs were jumping and barking. We knew she was the right girl to take home. We filled out the adoption papers, and brought her home!

Indy is a sweet and fairly quiet pup that just loves playing with her big brother Cody! She rarely barks unless she is egging Cody into playing, or when she sees something she doesn't like or strangers- Indy discovered her bark when she was about 5 months old and ever since then she barks at anything that is new to her or strange! Her name comes from the movie "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade"- where in the movie you find out Indiana Jones had named himself that after his dog. Kyle had decided "Indy" would be a great name for a dog- and it fit for our little Indy!! Indy has really come out of her shell, and isn't quite as shy and cautious as she was when we first got her. She is a little more bold when we are on walks on the trail, and isn't afraid of venturing off a little farther on her own. She loves playing and wrestling with Cody, and loves to tease him by biting his neck and ankles!!! She is a real little bounder and loves running and leaping about, and loves chewing and carrying around sticks!! Indy is a cute, lovable puppy, and we are glad that we brought her home :o)
