Leave a bone for Jerry Lee

Big un, big boy, baby, My dad calls him squirt!

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:
-purebred-dog rescue

His very best friend in the whole world is our 3 1/2 lb Miniature Pinscher. He used to carry him around like a momma cat carries her kittens . I used to have to yell out in the back yard "Jerry Lee spit him out! He loves to run loose in the pasture!"

Wheels, He once ate the wheels right off my riding mower when he was a puppy . Not being petted first.

Favorite Toy:
Like I said his favorite thing to play with is Bull. He is very protective of that little stinker too. If I take one somewhere, I have to take the other or I might come home and find one of them gone.

Favorite Food:
I try to only give him dog food, but once in a while he gets pizza bones or when we are training he gets small bits of meat..

Favorite Walk:
Any where, in the country where we live, in the city, at the lake or the river, I think he likes it best when I just turn him lose in the pasture so he can run and chase things.

Best Tricks:
He is very smart and obeys all obedience commands. I can put a piece of meat on his nose and say "Leave it" and he just sits there, I tell him to watch the dogs in the next yard, watch them close, he stalks them and then runs to the fence to play.

Arrival Story:
A lady had him and a new baby, she could not get Jerry Lee to quit jumping on her so she took him to the pound. He was 4 months old. He just needed some attention. He is a wonderful dog, and weights 118 lbs. He does anything I ask him to do. I love him very much.

When I had my Miniature Pinscher puppies. Jerry Lee knew he could not stand up around them, because they were so small. When he would come into the house, he would run to my chair and lay down and then crawl to the cage the puppies were in so he could see them. I would get them out and he would clean them just like they were his. He is very gental with them. I've never seen anything like him he is truly a gental giant! He has never been agressive to anyone, but if a stranger comes around he makes sure that he is between me and the stranger, and he never takes his eyes off of the stranger. This not something I tried to teach him to do, he just does it naturally. Just like when I fell after having knee surgery. He went to the fence and started barking and barking then he would run back to me, then back to the fence until my neighbors, who live about an acre away came to help me.
