My neighbor wanted companionship and realized after a few days that the dog has too much energy would be too much trouble. She asked me if I wanted the dog and gave me one week to make up my mind. When I said that I would love to have her she gave me everything for the dog - food, her pillow, the dog food, etc.! Sadly, Scrabble crossed the rainbow bridge last Sept as a result of bleeding tumors.

I may be miscategorized. I am more human than some people. If I can be cross referenced with royality, I think that would be most appropriate. That's why my owner sometimes refers to me as Princess Doggie!

A Fun Day Trip to the Shore

Last Sunday we went to the Jersey shore. Lisa had errands to do for her mom. My job was to keep her company, protect the car and be adorable.

I did it all and had a ball!

I got many little walks out of the trip. I always get a short walk before and after she goes to the supermarket. Also, just before and after she visits her mom. Unfortunately, I haven't been allowed to visit in her mom's building yet. They know from time to time I get so excited it can be a bit intimidating for some of the senior citizens. Generally, I don't mind. I use her visit time to catch up on my beauty sleep.

On Sunday I got another one of my walks on the beach to sniff out the new scents in the sand( generally left by the seagulls) and to walk along the waters edge. I just love water. I was a bit miffed by the waves. I couldn't figure out how to get to the guys fishing (on the jettys) without the white caps getting me. After a while, I just gave up on that and began to jump around while playing with my leash. I got sand everywhere. At one point there was a big glob plastered to my nose.

Some people on the beach began to watch me and laugh. They thought I was a puppy and were shocked to find out that I am nine.

Think young, be young, have fun.

When I got home I went out for a little more quick relief and then I immediately went to bed and to sleep. I was so tired I didn't even snore. I didn't get up until after 9:30 am the next day. My fun wore me out!

Well, I didn't have a party but I love them anyway. We had lots of company because there was a cookout for my cousin/sister lovebunny Christina. I got some treats. Sometimes that's as good as it gets for a doggie!

My Birthday is Coming

I just overheard my owner talking about giving me a party for my birthday and inviting the 2 pugs from next door and my buddy from around the corner. Well it's about time! Everyone else seems to have parties here. But they cook out, eat and drink. What will she do for me other than give me some special can dog food and give me bones to bury in the yard?

Any ideas from those of you who have had parties?

I wonder if Scooby Do or Marmaduke can come......
