 Quick Bio:
 Likes: bouncing

Pet-Peeves: when people argue. She tries to break it up by standing between them and 'wooing'

Favorite Toy: her people's socks, anything that used to belong to her sister, that she's managed to steal

Favorite Food: she doesn't really get excited about food.

Favorite Walk: anywhere, as long as there is a trail to follow. (she IS a husky)

Best Tricks: bouncing straight up, 6' in the air from a standing start.

Arrival Story: Roxy was a complete accident. I was trying to find a companion for Mojo, and originally I wanted another shepherd. I couldn't find any in my price range in my area, and I was getting very frustrated. I saw an ad for husky puppies for free, that had been born to a local sled team. I have always hated huskies, because I thought that they were just so stupid, how could anyone want one!? I don't really know why I went to go see the pups - curiosity perhaps, but I had no intention of liking them, and certainly not of adopting one. The second I got out of the car, and saw all of those huskies climb on top of their dog houses (the team was up to about 30 at that point I think) I was hooked. When the breeder took me to the puppies 10 little fluff balls all toddeled out of their little den and jumped on me. Roxy was the slowest and the smallest, but when she came over, she just crawled in my lap and made herself at home. She was all orange when she was a baby so her name is a slight variation on the name that her breeder gave her 'Foxy'. When I got her home, it turned out that she had a horrible case of worms. It was the worst that our vet had ever seen, and Roxy almost didn't pull out of it. But after weeks of horrible dewormings (that is not something that I would wish on my worst enemy) Rox was finally a regular little puppy again. Needless to say, she has changed my attitude of huskies forever. I know that what I did is the worst way to pick a dog, but something just clicked between us, and I will never not share my life with a husky for as long as I live.

Bio: Roxy and I have been working on her training recently, using the 'dog listener' technique, and finally(!!) we have learned stay and come. We still havn't solved the problem of her walking into things and not paying attention to where she's going. (and often getting quite hurt in the process) If they could only come up with a training technique for that!

I tried to type the title, but I have no fingers. So my people have to type from now one. It's a good thing I like to talk so that I can tell them what to type. I also like to sleep, and eat, and chase things. And bounce. I love bouncing! But also sleeping. And playing. And bouncing. I love bouncing!
ooo! a bug! I should bounce on it.
The bug got away, but it tasted funny anyway. Maybe I'll go see if there's something to eat yet. I love eating. And bouncing..
