POO POO! MOM NEEDS HELP FROM OUR PUP PALS!!!July 8th 2012 3:27 pm[ Leave A Comment | 16 people already have ]
Dear Friends: we haven’t been on her in a while because mom has become addicted to face book and a lot of our moms are on there so they go on there and share our stories. Nonetheless, mom has a story she can’t tell on face book…apparently it embarrasses her too much.

As for peeing in the house it could be a lot of things...if the vet rules out health issues it could be she is upset about something....dogs will often show their displeasure by peeing on things.... Has anything changed in the house recently....even a change in diet or less treats http://www.dogpoopdiet.com/why-dogs-eat-poop/ This might explain the pooh eating issue http://www.dogpoopdiet.com/why-dogs-eat-poop/ This might explain the pooh eating issue My foster started peeing in the house, I just went thru the whole house training thing with him, finally got him re-trained. He is a 4 yr old Boxer who was house trained. The vet told me to go thru the training just like he had never been trained. The poop eating, Dallas had started eating SassyGirl's I started giving him vitamins and Apple Cidar Vinegar (just a tablespoon) in there water and he stopped We determined the wetting in the house was because the increased heat in Ga has been like 106 degrees and I have been drinking tons of water. Vet determined it was my bladder was not used to all the water intake. OK. THAT EXPLAINS THAT! Now Mom will look into the other issue. Thank you to all our Dogsters for the input. Mom is grossed out! It could very well be nerves, maybe from the 4th,you had said the noise gives her trouble.Or she could have an issue with one of the family, and is "acting out".I know my dogs would get mad at me for leaving them at home, even for only a frw minutes, and would tear things up,as well as go to the bathroom in the house. They destroyed my carpets.I do know that poo eaters can be caused by having their faces rubbed in their "jobs".And it is very difficult to break them from it.Since she has been abused in the past, then there may have been something that triggered these issues. Not to alarm you but you may want to discuss a tick-borne illness with your vet. Rosie peed in the house and ate her own poo. We later learned that this may have been due to a relapse from her tick-borne illness. We started adding pineapple juice to her food. The pineapple causes the poo to have a smell that they don't like. It worked while we added it to her food. Big hugs to Ginger. Definately Try the ACV and making sure to pick up much as you can so not "snacks" aorund. Oh and do it when pups are not looking so they won;t find it even more appealing. No it is Not fun for the humans to deal with Poppy stuff but Dogsters are used to it bol. Is any pup eating a different food that might make the poop "tastier"? Glad the Doc ruled out any bladder infection. You need your water in the heat and do wonder if something scared you too? I am terrified of storms and thunder and not fond of being alone. Pssst Maybe you can hide the mouse on Mommy so you can come on here more too, bol. Hugs & POkes, xoxoxo Pineapple good too! thanks Riley yes forgot had heard of that! Oh, glad that the peeing issue is not related to health problem! As for the poo-eating, I have to admit that I sampled Milo's poo quite often for a period of time! Mom just couldn't figure out the reason and stop me. But I seemed to stop eating Milo's poo after all. Mom is not sure why, though. I hope your mom do find out the reason and share with us. I've never done either of those things, but it might be a good idea to ask da vet about it. I've eaten Moon's poo but never my own. Eating Moon's poo was enough to throw my mom into a maniacal fit. BOL! POTP to you and your grossed out mom Bill: Mommy has never ever rubbed our faces in anything. Sooo that is a non-issue. She has been doing some reading up with all these helpful comments and now realizes, it started after they brought home leftover steak from a restaurant. Seems it may very well be that one of us ate too fast, did not digest the steak and now the steakpoo is attracting me. Mom say Nugget doing it this morning so the steakpoo is at the top of the list now as Nugget does not eat poo either...until today:-( hhmmm....not sure what could be happening, nothing has changed in her routine, that she would be peeing in the house. I have stopped peeing in the house and mommy is happy. Mom & Dad had to "up" their routine with regard to how many times I am going out to potty/play because of all the water I am drinking in this heat. Seems things are clearing up. YAY! |
