Stupid Gray Hairz!

I am not sure why this is happening to me!! I have always been such a beautiful blonde girl but lately, I see these white spots all in my hairz! What is a DIVA like me to do??? Mommy took a picture of me the other day and it looked like someone had taken chalk and drew some eyebrows fur me. It was a funny looking picture. Gotta see if I can get mommy to put it up here soon as possible.

Anyway, even though I have the gray hairz, I am very happy & healthy. I get regular love and have broken so far out of my shell that mommy and daddy call me “tiny dancer” now. I do a lot of jumping and dancing around the house so the name is fitting. Who cares about gray hairz…dance like you just don’t care!!! BOL!!!

POO POO! MOM NEEDS HELP FROM OUR PUP PALS!!!

Dear Friends: we haven’t been on her in a while because mom has become addicted to face book and a lot of our moms are on there so they go on there and share our stories. Nonetheless, mom has a story she can’t tell on face book…apparently it embarrasses her too much.

I have started doing a few things mom and dad aren’t used to. Though they have dealt with it well, they find themselves questioning why? The issues are:

(1) I have suddenly started peeing in the house. Never peed in the house before. Nugget pees in the house and mom & dad are ready for it; they put plastic down in her favorite areas and she pees on that when they are not home. I started peeing in all places except the plastic covered areas. It took them a week or so to realize it was me but, mom worked from home on Friday and learned my secret. She immediately became worried and smelled my pee (no odd smell) then she looked at the color (no odd color) then she looked at the amount (no odd amount) so she ruled out UTI (less pee due to discomfort), diabetes (smelly or dark urine). She even called the vet for blood work! WHAT A WORRIER! BOL!

(2) I have started eating poo in the back yard!!! MOM WANTS TO PUKE AS SHE TYPES THIS!!! I have never, ever eaten poo before but suddenly I like poo. We used to have a feline brother named Groucho Marx and I never once ate his poo so mom is confused. She wonders if there is something “health-wise” wrong with me that I would SUDDENLY start eating poo. I have been known to eat squirrel, rabbit, chipmunk and occasionally I eat my own fur when I have the itchies BUT NEVER POO! Any ideas on this???

My very own SQUIRREL!!!!!!!!!

As all of you may be aware, I completely and totally love, love, love chasing & playing with squirrels as well as rabbits. I recall once bringing my rabbit buddy in for mom to see but she freaked out like it was a snake or something. I mean, how was I to know it wasn’t alive; I just assumed it was stuffed like all the other ones we have in the house. Geez!!

Anyway, we now have a live squirrel living in our attic and mom & dad have put a cage up there to catch it. I am super excited about this because I am certain they will give it to me once it is down from the attic. They know I LOVE squirrels and they wouldn’t give it to anyone else but me…Right?? I totally can’t believe I am about to have my very own squirrel!

Wait, what is that I hear? Mom is telling Daddy to release it in the yard next door when it gets in the cage???? WTD???? How cruel can you be? I am such a good dog and I DESERVE my very own squirrel!! Dangit! I will have to pee on mom’s pillow if she doesn’t let me have my squirrel. I will, of course, blame it on Nugget because she is refusing to be housetrained anyway! BOL!

Thanksgiving with Family

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with their family. For all those out there that didn’t have a forever family; we thought of you and prayed for you. We know that many, many of us are still out there in a cage with concrete floors, warm/hot water, bars as a door, pee on our floor and a person passing by on occasion to make sure we are still breathing. We know that your Thanksgiving was not one of celebration, thanks and love. We know you cried yourself to sleep the night prior and the night of. Our wish on our Thanksgiving was for YOU! Not US! YOU! We want everyone to realize that while they had the warm surroundings of comfort, family, friends and great food…you were in hell. A cold, careless H E L L! Bless all of your sweet souls for holding on to hope and understand we are doing EVERYTHING WE CAN to get you and yours out of the hell you are in. WE LOVE YOU AND WILL NEVER FORGET EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU! There will be no peace until there is PEACE FOR ALL!

Is it October yet?

We send prezzies to all our pup pals saying "Happy October" and wonder just how many will notice and reply! BOL! We do however wish everyone a Happy Every Month of the Year!!! LOVE TO ALL OF YOU! p.s. If this is found not to be funny by anyone, I blame Mommy! BOL!

My Birthday!!

Today is my birthday. Mommy took vacation from work and we are going to have a wonderful, wonderful day today. She said she took vacation because she needed a break from work but, I know she is simply trying to spare the feelings of 'the others' because it is all about me and I KNOW IT! BOL!

When I think of where I came from and where I am now it makes me sooo happy. My mommy saved me from a abusive, neglectful home and daddy took so much time retraining me that humans aren't as horrible as the first ones I met. For them I am truly grateful and that is the BEST present evah!

UGH! To the Vet Again!!!

Those of you that have been my pup pals for a while know my most recent sisfur, Nugget had some skin problems when she came to our home. It was Red Mange. Mom caught it very early by noticing spots on Nugget’s face, neck, etc. and our FABULOUS vet told her it was Red Mange. Mom FREAKED when she first heard the news but Dr. Kahn told her that the mange was very “low” on the contagious scale and we should not worry too much about it…just bring Nugget in for dips for a whole month and ever other week afterwards.

WELL, I CAUGHT IT!!!! I am the most nervous dog in the house!!! When I caught it I (as well as mom & dad) was DEVASTATED! I had to go for weekly treatments as well. UGH! That sucked!

Tonight Mom was doing her weekly “body check” on us and found A RED SPOT on Nugget!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CRAP! If she has it I will get it! SUX!

Back to the Vet we go! First her…and I PRAY I do not get it this time!!! POTP Pup Pals! I HATE THE VET!

Very Weird Day to be Dog Diary Pic of the Day

I start by saying thank you for all my presents & best wishes for being one of the Diary Pics. We had little time to celebrate:

Sad day in the Smith household. We got up super early this morning because our neighbor's house was on fire and the events of the day consumed us until now. News crews just left our street and we find ourselves slightly shocked at the way things played out. Mommy had a hard time sleeping last night and fell asleep around midnight only to awaken to all of us barking around 2:30 a.m. Weird to think we woke her that early when the fire trucks didn't show til fifteen minutes (or so) later...seems we have a nack for detecting bad things early.

Anyway, at first we all assumed it was a simple house fire. When we awoke to the house fire in the wee hours of Monday morning mom assumed they were burning leaves and left them untended because we saw the neighbors working in their yard on Sunday afternoon. The evening news told a different story. Turns out the mother in the home was dead in her bed and the father was missing. SAD!

Mom did not know them but felt so very bad for (1) the loss of life and (2) the idea of someone thinking taking a life was the best way out. Granted we are still working on "unconfirmed information" we do know the wife was found dead in the home and the husband has been missing since. It could be anything really but, we wonder, where is he and why is he not home yet? We are pawraying for all of them. We ask you do to. Thank you.
