Arrival Story: Apollo, a Husky/Malamute mix, had been purchased by a couple who lived in an apartment. Once they got him home, they soon realized that with their schedules, neither of them would have time to give him the attention he needed. He was advertised for sale online again. My wonderful wife, knowing of my love for malamutes, offered to get him for me as an early Father's Day gift. How could I refuse?
The poor little guy was separated from his mother WAY too soon! He was only around 4 or 5 weeks old when we brought him home, and the previous owners had had him for possibly up to a week already. He was such an adorable little furball, if somewhat narcoleptic. An unforgetable moment on his first day home was when he fell asleep while walking... He had been taking a much needed nap but then woke up to journey to the kitchen to get a drink of water. After taking in some refreshment, he walked 4 steps, and then promptly plopped down dead-asleep on the linoleum. I have posted a pic of this memorable moment, although I really wish I had video of the whole scene!

Bio: Apollo has turned my wife ino a true dog-lover. She used to not like dogs much, especially large ones. Now she just loves him to death, and he obviously loves her too. ("it's the Treat Lady! Yay!") She loves our big furry boy enough that we're planning on getting a new little buddy for him to play with! So we're looking to get a little female husky puppy to add to the family this winter when we move to Georgia.
