Ty, in loving memory

Sad news today. My friend Ty the collie had to be put to sleep. He had bloat. He was for sale, and he was scheduled to go to a new home soon, but he never had the chance. He was only 5 years old, and he will be greatly missed.

Up North

My family and me are going up north for labor day weekend. I don't really like spending so much time in the car, but what are you going to do? Up north is tons of fun! We get to take walks through the woods and down by the lake. Sam likes to splash around like the maniac he is, but I prefer to not get my paws wet. But the best part....... NO SMOKEY!!!!!!!

MWAHAHA!

Walks

These past couple of days, I have been too shy to write. Instead I had my Mom write for me. Now I know that everyone here on Dogster is really nice, so now I am going to write my own diary entry. Last night, Mom took me on a walk through the neighborhood. It was my turn for a walk, Sam had gone the day before. Mom never takes me as far as she takes Sam, otherwise the old injury in my leg will start hurting again. I think my leg is getting stronger, so maybe sometime soon I can go on a long walk with Sam and my Mom.

Happily Ever After

That is the name of the shelter where we adopted Jenny. It was on my birthday last year. The shelter was having an adoption day at our local pet store. We really weren't planning on getting a dog, but it ended up being the best birthday present ever! We took Jenny home, and she immediatley started bullying Sam. Sam is a wimp, and he didn't stand up to her. We were worried, because the behavior didn't stop. Then she went for Smokey. Don't get me wrong, Jenny is extremely affectionate towards people. She just wasn't used to other animals. My parent's decided we would have to take Jenny back to Happily Ever After. However, after talking to the owner for a while, my dad decided to give it more time. That was the best decision ever! Now Sam and Jenny are best buds. We still keep her away from Smokey, but that's okay. And we all lived happily ever after.
