Arrival Story:
I had been talking about getting another dog to go along with my boxer Recon. Due to his medical needs I had to be very careful as to what kind of dog I chose. I did alot of research and had been talking to my parents about getting a Great Dane due to their gental and loving nature and loving to play. I was living in SC at that point and my parents were still living in AL. We all began looking in both states. For me is was proving to be a difficult search where I was located. I had all but given up on finding just the right Great Dane puppy when my Mom called. They had found a lady who still had three puppies left but they were now three months old. They were unsure if I would want one that old but they were going to go check them out anyways. I told them to call me and let me know about them and to send pics. Next thing I knew my cell phone was blowing up with text messages and pics of a beautiful black Great Dane female. I had been wanting another male but just seeing her picture I fell in love. I had to call my Mom right then and ask about her personalty. My mom said that she had been running and playing with her in the backyard. That she was very engertic. My dad was concerned that she would be to rough for Recon with the way that she liked to play with my mom. Next thing I knew I heard my dad yelling for my 10 year old brother to get out of there before he got ran over with her playing. Next thing I knew my mom was telling me this was the pup. I asked what was going on. She said that just as soon as Nick (my brother) went into the fence with her she calmed down sat at his feet and waited for him to pet her. Then she was up wanting to play again but she wasn't be as rough and jumping. I knew then that this was the pup for my house. That was on a Thursday. The next day I was driving 6 1/2 hours home to get her from my parents house and take her back to SC. And I have been completely happy ever since.
