Hello again!

I am still here.
I am ALWAYS here!!
It has only been a very short time for me but for my Mommy it has been a long time. Two years I think of her time...maybe more.

She became a new dog mom again. I have doggy tears thinking about this.
Taffy knew that her heart would only be healed by another fun-loving little dog like he is (he didn't mean to hurt me as I know it's only true that I never was into playing or having fun or even really having snuggles - that's just how I am and thats's ok) - so he waited and waited until he became aware of a little dog who needed as much love as she had in her little heart to give.
And he led our mommy to somewhere that she met a good friend who also became aware of this little dog.
And it's a long and complicated story but Taffy tells me that as soon as this other lady set eyes on Lucky, she knew that her and my mommy's souls were meant to be together.

Mommy had all manner of ideas for names for her new furdaughter. But Lucky already had a name. She was born into her present life with that name because it was what she is and what her furmom is.
And I know mommy will post photos on here one day of Lucky.

Meanwhile, I am having a ball!!
I have met sooooo many puppers since I have been here. Some of them remember my mom from when she was a little girl. Others, lived with people who are now friends with my mom.

It is Easter today and I remember how Taffy and I always had a small chocolate egg. And Lucky isn't allowed these now!! There is something in human chocolate that tastes very nice but is not good for us dogs!
Oooh but you should SEE what its like now where I used to live!!!
The pet stores are more like department stores than ever!!!
There is every possible thing you can imagine, for dogs.
When I was there, there wasnt anything like as much. And when Taffy was there, he says, hardly anything at all!
But he was very happy because the one and only thing he TRULY wanted, he had: Our mom's love and attention.

Here, we can eat anything we wish. Nothing ever harms us.
I lie in soft grass a lot - I adore grass! I love the feel of it under my belly.

Well I gotta go.
I will be back again one day.
Please know that I never really leave - EVER!!!

Woofs and wags to everyone.
Maya x

Nearly Christmas!

It is nearly Christmas and Taffy and I are looking forward to it!
Taffy says he'll show me how to open my parcels...I never was much good at it but he was!
Christmas is lovely here. We have trees decorated with sparkly paper and twinkling balls - the fields are covered with a thin layer of snow which I love! Taffy says he is glad he doesnt get cramp in this snow like he used to. It is fun to play with, and the biggest dogs kick up piles of it so that we can play snowballs!
When we have had enough we can go and warm ourselves by the fire. I would like to have my mommy here so we could all curl up together but Taffy says we have to wait a long time for that - so meanwhile we are just enjoying the warmth after the fun in the snow.
Happy Christmas to all our friends and to our pals who are not here with us...we miss you but hope you will be happy and that you will think about us with a smile on your faces.

Met Asa

Hello, just to say I have just met a BEAUTIFUL little pup named Asa! She is soooo pretty and she didnt have very long with her mommy before she had to leave and come here. I think that means she is the most perfect little baby cos she didnt need long to give and receive that unconditional love off her mommy.
Me, I needed 17 years to learn! To learn how to love and be loved, and to learn how to enjoy the company of other canines. I never did learn how to play - Taffy my big brother wasnt with me and mom long enough to teach me.
My mom has been unhappy recently cos she wants to give a home and love to another furbaby and she is not in a position to do so yet. I dont know how to help her.
I know she feels close to me and she will never forget her naughty teenager!
Here at the Bridge we all have a lot of fun...sometimes humans drop by to see us but they cannot stay long. My grandad came by again recently. He says Grandma cannot come because she is in a much sweeter place and does not need to leave - but he is watching out for me and Taffy and for my mom so comes by to check on us both!
Going off now to find Asa I think she has a lot of things to tell me about her mommy and her pup pals!
