We had neighbors that had a pregnant dog and left for a couple of weeks. She had her puppies while they were gone in 10 degree weather. We took Momma dog and her 11 puppies and gave them a warm place. We work with a rescue group and we found homes for all 11 puppies and Momma. My little girl was partial to one, which was Spunky, and asked me if we could keep him if he ever came back to us. Not thinking he would ever come back, I agreed.
