Arrival Story:
I had been searching on line for a suitable Saluki or Saluki cross for months when I found the Borzoi/Saluki puppies in NJ. I found them on Feb. 1, faxed my application on Feb.2, and drove to NJ to get him on Feb. 3.
Bio:
Emmett is a very sweet and social dog who loves everyone, human and canine. He is especially fond of his sister, Phoebe, a 13 year old Cocker who was rescued 12 years ago. His name comes from the clown, Emmett Kelly, because he is a natural born comic. Emmett would someday like to reunite with his littermates and meet their humans. UPDATE......on May 7, 2005, Emmett and all but one of his siblings gathered at Bellevue State Park in Delaware. Their sire, Josh, was also in attendance. A fine time was had by all, canine and human alike. UPDATE: It is with great sadness that I report the passing of my beautiful boy. After 3 unexpected days in cardiac care and 4 more at home, Emmett closed his eyes for the last time on January 3rd. He was only 6, and though I feel cheated, I also feel blessed and privileged to have had those few years. The joy of his presence will always outweigh the pain of his passing. "Good night sweet prince and flights of angels sing thee to they rest."
