Arrival Story:
Mele (pronounced mel-ay) was given to me as a Christmas present by my boyfriend of the time. He brought her to my house on Christmas Eve in a box. She was scared to death and wouldn't leave the box until present opening time that night.

Bio:
Mele was hit by a car after escaping from my apartment in December 2002. After surgery (2 of them actually) to fix a broken leg, she looked to be getting much much better, when one day I came home to find a very very sick puppy in the cage. The vet diagnosed pesticide poisining (beware of flea medication on dogs who are on other medications) and, though he thought she would be ok, she passed away that night. She is missed everyday by all of us.
